PS3

After the target render, Namco-Bandai releases the first true screenshots of Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm. Even if the images have some really bad compression issues and seem to be captured off an old build, we have to admit some of them look spectacular. We can't wait to see some more advanced stuff.

Looks nice. Captures the Naruto art style moreso than the Ubi game. This game looks to be one on one battling in contrast to the more rpgish Ubi game.

Totally not as cool as the target renders shown last time. It's not just the bad image compression, these shots look quite a bit jaggied out. Not anything better than the 360 game IMO.

Lol. You really think so? I personally think they match the Naruto art style better than the Ubi game (lines are not as heavy and thick as the Ubi version) and come really close to the early screens. The lighting makes it come extremely close the anime; pics two, three, and seven give me the Naruto movie vibe.

Style wise it is probably better. I like the thicker lines look from the 360 game, but I'm not a fan of naruto.

Oh hey look, those last ones WERE fake, surprise!

Anyways, I keep repeating myself on here but none of the games on 360 or PS3 compare to the fighting series on Gamecube. I suggest everyone import that instead

That being said, Gaara in the demon form is impressive considering how immense he is

Screenshots dont do this game justice. Im surprised the trailer hasnt been posted on gamersyde yet.

This game is gonna cover the first 135 episdoes, so that should be very cool.

Yeah, that's the formula they've stuck too. Their past Naruto games were mainly fighting game with an additional story/RPG mode. With this one they said the story mode will have around 100 missions, and lead all the way up to the Sasuke Retrieval Arc.

Anyway, can't wait till this comes out. The latest trailer was impressive.

They are supposedly considering DLC to expand the game. Who knows, maybe extra downloadable episodes or something?

Nice to see honest screens for a change. The uber-AA is gone (no aa) and the per-pixel motion blur now uses actual frames for sampling instead of an artist's hand and fingerpaint brush.

still looks better then the cell shading method ubi used in the 360 version. this looks far closer to the anime then ubi's offering imo. gamplay wise, i dunno, 1up's recent preview said the combat is almost automatic which sounds kinda lame

What a shock, the previous images were complete BS...
Not really all that impressed. Just looks like a HD version of the PS2 games the same developer created over the past few years...
All credits to Ubisoft for taking a Japanese property and showing them how it's done and setting the new standard, which this game obviously fails to match.

the ability to call one of two preselected team mates out to attack the enemy.,The story mode goes all the way up to the END of the first series Which would be the Sasuke retrieval arc(no filler), it was worth the wait for PS3 owners, this company made the Narutimate hero series (Ultimate ninja outside of Japan) and after beating UN3, this game is in good hands..the big drawback is the lack of online, which they plan for the sequel..as long as the single player is fun, and versus mode is balanced, PS3 owners, and Naruto fans alike are in for a treat!

The biggest negative for this game and the 360 game, is that anyone who has watched the show or reads the manga... this story is about 2-3 years old at least

Besides the obvious bad compression, how is the first one that much better than the second? Backgrounds look identical in both. Sure, the "target render" has less jaggies, but far from perfect. I'd like to see good screenshots of the latest build.

So i can finally rub it in the face of the tards that actually thought that the last batch were real screen shots: IN YOUR FACE BUDDY!

This still looks pretty good for a cell shaded game though, but this time it does look like a real game.

I prefer this one in terms of visuals, as they've really nailed the style down, as if they were working from the same style guide. The cel shading was too heavy in the Ubi one and doesn't match the show... not that the 360 one didn't have wonderful graphics in the first place.

lol
Well in the first shot Naruto and Kakashi look they've been taken out of the TV show and given some HD lovin'.
The second screenshot looks like a port of the PS2 games from the same developers but given the HD treatment.
Like I said before, all credit has to go to Ubisoft, a European developer taking a Japanese property and showing them how it should be done, which is obviously partly the reason why this developer is wasting it's time making this for the US market when they could be making the latest game based on the Shippuden series for Japan, thus getting much more attention and less focus on the graphics like the western audience does...
