Even if we are all in week-end mode between soccer games (love Euro 2008), some never before seen images of Siren: New translation have been released to the public.
Most beautiful looking horror game of this gen indeed. I noticed from the demo how much detail goes into gore level. The blood splattering is insane, and whichever part of the Shibito's body you shoot gets covered in blood.
As a PSN game, see how much effort they did on details as to have real-time reflections on shiny substances:
It sure looks fine, but not too good imo. They seem to re-use textures from the original game on PS2(it's a remake, right?!)... But this would defenitly be one game I would buy if a had a PS3^^

Not only textures are improved, but also the animation level and shadows (reminds me of deferred shading from STALKER and Killzone 2)

yup. they're releasing on PSN only atm. through 12 episodes. i just hope they have a blu ray release, otherwise i dont think i'll be buying it.
There will be a blu-ray release of Siren i suppose, the crap is we have to wait until all 12 episodes are kicked out to PSN. Let's hope it wont be like 1 episode per month.
Who cares if a few textures doesnt look too sharp. I mean... does everyone prefer the look of Gears where all objects looks so sharp it isnt even natural looking anymore? Like beds, sofas, some of the walls... the ground. Alot of things in so called "high textured games" looks pretty weird to me :P
Dont think thats a big problem on PS3 though. Just look at Ratchet & Clank and Uncharted : - ) Overall better looking than most games on 360 (and no, I'm not Sony fanboy, almost only play on 360)...
After playing the demo, I have to say the graphics are lackluster, dark, and compared to Silent Hill, Siren looks like your tv is suffering from white noise syndrome

Not at all. These textures look way better than the ps2 version, feel free to look at a few PS2 screenshots and see for yourself.

RE4 was still horror based, but just a different type of horror. Just like Dead Rising for 360, the horror lies around you being surrounded by too many monsters and running for your life. I guess you can call it adrenaline based horror, whereas the original RE games would just have something pop out at you to make you jump at random moments, best example of that being Nemesis. The only thing I'd actually change about RE4 would be the ammo amount. You were given too much ammo too many times. It would have created more fear and doubt if you only had one clip left at certain times and loads of enemies to deal with.

Japanese developers, as its seen right here, are experts in using shity textures for the environment...
