Looks pretty spooky. The atmosphere reminds me of the village from Resident Evil4. It's too bad I don't have a PS3 to play this. It'd have to be one bad ass game for me to buy the console. I'll just ask my friend to borrow his and it's a rental for me. I just love survival horror games. There's just not enough of them on the market, but there's an FPS in every slot of the retail shelf.

Huh.. ?

1 person who is asian, the rest are westerners, but what was your point ?

Japanese developers can't have "Japanese looking" people in their games anymore ?

I played the demo and wasn't very impressed. It was just too clunky. Definitely more excited for the next Fatal Frame.

And since when do characters in Japanese games have to look a certain way? Have you heard of artistic expression? It's something many western developers aren't familiar with.

Um, wow, he was making a joke about how a vast amount of Japanese games have western looking characters. Let's all attack him for it why don't we.

Demo was pretty bland, and almost unplayable visual-wise on my tv(dark + ultra grain = no please)

I understood the joke about looking Japanese for a change...100% truth. Rareness these days.

the demo was really good imo, very intesne, just what a survival horror game should be. but it was insanely dark. overly so in fact, its nice to see these shots show a lighter setting tho. only issue i have with the game now is that their only plan is to release via PSN....and that just dont roll with me. its a disc or no sale. i mean, i dont know if its just me, but i like to actually OWN the things i buy.

Same here. With the PSN/Blu-Ray releases, I like to go for the actual copy. I like having a case, manual and game disc.

I know what you mean about wanting to have a hard copy, despite me liking to think I embrace the whole download generation thing, at the end of the day I like to put something on my shelf. My main concern is about the actual size of the game though, is this going to eat up most of the HDD space?

For your case you better hope Full digital downloads doesn't fully catch on. I don't mind either way, but in the future if game systems just make you download all the games, I know a few people who will be very upset.

that would be the day i stopped being a gamer. its either discs, an option between the 2, or nothing at all. full digital distribution would stop me playing games...simple as that.

You sure? I mean, just giving up games is a hard thing to do if you enjoy them(to me it's like giving up watching movies or reading books). Let's say one afternoon in the future you're bored and have nothing to do. So you reach for your game console, but it isn't there...what will you do?

if this future is all about digital distribution, i wouldnt have a console to begin with, i dont agree with it at all. even down to the smallest of game updates to movie rantals on the 360. i wont support it. i love GTA but i wont be buying the content. i just dont like the idea and never will. i dont like steam, XBLA etc etc simply because i dont feel i own what im actually paying for. its not so much a case of using up the precious little space on current consoles HDD...its the idea that you "own" something that doesnt actually exist. i honestly cant see it happening any time soon anyway. it alienates a large portion of the market who dont have broadband or an internet connection at all. maybe in the distant futures when 50meg boradband is standard to everyone. but that aint going to happen anytime soon. im sure i'll be long dead before it replaces discs. not that i can imagine playing games up to my death bed anyway. once i hit 40-ish i reckon i'll be done with it.

First person I've conversated with that doesn't like DLC. That being said, I personally believe that DLC is ok only when it's not already on the disc itself. Because if it's on the disc, I feel as though I've been tricked into buying full price something with locked content. The main reason I like Steam is because it offers older games, which can no longer be found on shelves(there was a word for this), for download. In a way I think that still supports developers, plus you can always request Valve for the activation code if you don't trust that Steam will remember whether or not you had the game in the first place. I'd honestly say that's possibly one of the only good reasons to like downloadble games because you get a chance to play the older ones you may have missed out on. Although others just might do the whole 'illegal' thing and emulate it.

Also, a friend of mine once said "Being 40 is too young to stop having fun".

But honestly the only good horor games I have played so far where: Resident Evil 1,2,4; Call OF Cthulhu: The Dark Corners Of The Earth and Bioshock.
