Announced yesterday via the awesome trailer, the Mexican Border is now back with some new images from Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas. I'm not the one complaining about doing some more Ghost Recon again!

Not really, as we've already played GRAW, would have been nice if they could have used some new ideas other then the gritty, gray, can barely see anything cause the screens so dark ideas.

You cant buy an original idea nowadays.

Why cause there is a guy holding a gun in thirdperson or maybe cause there is building or maybe there is shadows and lighting effects or maybe its produced by the same company.

Ubisoft oped to use the unreal 3 engine so from here on all the whole tom clancy series is going to resemble alot to graphical look. But if you take these same screenies and put the guys in heavy armor and add a chainsaw to there weapon and had some of buildings destroyed you guys would say this looks just like Gears Of War. But the thing is it would play totally different. Well anyways the game looks great and i hope they added some great new gameplay to the mix.

If you can barley see anything in the screens then you really need to adjust your monitor contrast/brightness.

And rainbowsix is not an original idea, cause its part of a series. I dont see you posting over at the call of duty 3 screens sayng it looks like call of duty 2. Maybe you cant see the call of duty 3 screens cause they are too dark.

We're in the next gen gaming universe and they still can't get people's grip on the gun right.

Yeah this looks like GRAW. mostly because this level takes place in Mexico. The gameplay does share some similarities with GRAW, but it is different enough to separate the two games. The main difference between the two series is that here you have tighter control over your team and you're using tight quarters tactics. Also, this game is a little more over the top with regards to the action sequences and the story.

I think this looks quite a bit better than GRAW actually. The environment has far more poly and texture detail to it. These are genuine buffer grabs which is good.. I hope it runs better than graw too.

Is this game any cooler because they use the F' word? Companies piss me off, by unnecessarily putting in inappropriateness at times when it really isn’t needed.

The people working on the game need to grow up for certain issues.

Other than that, this game looks fantastic.

i really hope this can hold it's own against GRAW, because GRAW is one of the best games i've ever played. i loved the third person perspective, because it was executed so damn smoothly, and the superb 3rd person animations made it a joy to watch. if this is anywhere near the quality and gameplay, i welcome it wholeheartedly. i have been itching for more GRAW, and this may make up for it until GRAW2! it certainly looks good, but i am afraid the same problems will plague this game(framerate problems and NO F'KING VSYNC!!) those were the only problems there were for an otherwise perfect game!

Lockdown sucked the big one. Rainbow Six started as a tactical shooter that strived for realism and UBI ruined it the last time out. The ai COULD NOT hit you if you stood in the open but if you got cover and peeked it was almost an instant headshot. All tactics was removed in favor of run and gun. The voice commands were also broken, if you said Hold your guys would follow, if you said follow you guys would hold.

I hope this game is a step back into its routes and is more tactical, if not ill never buy another Rainbow Six game again. Noobifying a game for Mass Market is a great way to abandon those that got you were you are. UBI wouldnt be here without Clancy games yet their quest for $$$ has cause them to stray from Clancy routes.

Im getting pretty fed up with the way ubisoft are changing ghost recon and rainbow six, they used to be really realistic and deep squad based shooters aimed at a more mature aduience who preferred planning and tactics over big explosions and action.
But now both series have changed to appeal mostly to casual mainstream gamers, they did this to increase sales but they lost most of their core audience and a lot of respect, the xbox version of raven shield was a huge shallow peice of crap (almost as bad as lockdown) compared to the pc verison but GRAW on the other hand was a good game but it sure as hell didn't feel like a ghost recon game.

What the hell are you talking about??? GRAW wasn't even near realistic in any way shape or form.

And yes this looks alot like GRAW it even has the helicopter/breifing scenes.

In the OXM demo, AI Take DECISION for it's survival and it's work great THEY STAY ALIVE. In Graw, Soldier other than you never make a kill and get killed faster than anything.. I actually sent them to get kill at the end because they didn't actually do something other than provide distraction to ennemies..

What the hell does using the unreal engine have to do with games looking like each other? You can use Unreal to build any damn kind of world you want to. It just so happens that the art direction of this level looks very much like that of GRAW - the sunset lighting, gritty streets, etc. It's art direction not the game engine that determines the look.

looks like GRAW but 1000 times better. Only reason it looks the same is because its the same location and same time of day...why the hell is the sun always setting in Mexico in these games? Its like its always tinted orange.
