I also find it odd to hold back reviews because of spoilers, and I don't really know if it's the case. The responsibility of a reviewer is to respect his audience, so spoiling the story would make no sense. I never thought you were implying we were biased, I just didn't think it made sense to say that the choice of the embargo date was meant as a means of leverage. Reviewers do indeed get the game for free, but they also get the chance to let people know if they think it's worth it, because they're the only ones who'll have completed the game by the time the NDA is lifted.
I can understand why it can be frustrating or why it may even seem a bit fishy to those who have pre-ordrered the game, because they won't be able to cancel their purchase now, but again, I think today people should know better and wait if they"re unsure.
Said this, this game looks like another rare case where the user reviews are much higher than the reviewers. Looks like it's a good game, just not most people's cup of tea.
