Xbox 360

Microsoft and Lionhead released the first developer diary of Fable 2, presenting what had been unveiled at the GDC: Love and our dog companion. Also worth noting, a beautiful ending sequence showing some of the game's locations.

The graphics and the style look more Project Ego than Fable, which to me is a good thing.

Ok, now I know why Microsoft bought this game studio. Peter is a crazy visionary and his development team is obsessed with the finer details of immersive gameplay.

It sounds like Peter is keeping his ambition for this game grounded and I do believe that he's going to deliver on what he promises this time.

Not that I was one of those people complaining anyway. I loved Fable1. The only thing I didn't like was how short it was.

Just one thing-

If people are going to be shooting muskets and swinging swords, isn't the dog going to get killed following you around?

"you have no control of the dog, you don't control the dog, you don't control the dog...........you DON'T control the dog." "thats just mad man" i think Peter Molyneux needs to step outside for a change and do something fun, this game seems to be getting to him, its just a god damn dog. You never had control over pikachu in pokemon yellow, why is it so mad that you can't control the dog? Anybody else creeped out by the man with the beard and pony tail? :-S Im sure fable 2 will be a great game, the first was, it was just too short and linear.

Not sure the pikachu in Poke-yellow is the same thing. He typically just followed you around. >_>

I wonder if they will be making an achievement for people that manage to finish the game without intentionally killing the dog, if they do I doubt I'll ever get it.

The early screenshots form when the game was titled Project Ego showed larger and more open areas. Project Ego was meant to be open ended, more freedom like Oblivion but due to technical limitations of the Xbox, Fable was made.

Impossible considering that dog WILL die in the game. Has been said by mr. Molyneux himself iirc.

Oh well, I wonder if you can personally kill it yourself, I would, I absolutely hate dogs. Unless it was a wolf, I like wolves, they can eat peasants.
