I love the style of this, the world looks amazing, but why in christs name is it full of bad puzzles that look like they're from a flash game?

How can you say the puzzles are bad, when you don´t know how they work?

But I agree, the world looks great.

Its more the fact there seems to be no diversity to them. That world screams for myst-like puzzles, not something you find in a flash game on newgrounds. But that's just me.

yeah I agree. I'm hoping they'll be more to it than whats shown. Braid was awesome.. hopefully lightening can strike twice. I guess that's confirmed its exclusive?

Well its a timed exclusive but Microsoft just said today they won't allow people to self publish games on the Xbone and in today's world it isn't good enough for a lot of developers. Doesn't look like this, "hit" as you put it, will be coming to Xbox then.

I liked Braid, and this interests me, but Blow is way too pretentious for only having made 1 game. Not to say that he's consistently wrong, but he's definitely pretentious.

That's a pretty sweepy and general assumption to make based on a trailer. It's been stated before that there's more to the puzzles and that the simplicity is just a sort of common thread or language between them. There will be more to playing the game, but it wouldn't make much sense to really give any of that away in a trailer.
You should probably wait until the game can actually be played to make these kinds of assumptions. It's just a trailer. Fez looked like a freakin' simple platformer until release. Assumptions will only make you look like a fool.

Wouldn't say he's pretentious (one of the most misused terms), he definitely knows his shit. Check any lecture he gives. I'd say more arrogant or snobbish for sure.

I would say all of the above (I did double check Webster's before posting that). He's got the trifecta going. Braid was fun, but he does more talking than game making.

Fez actually looked very impressive from day one. And until they show that there is more to the puzzles, i'll continue to base my assumptions on what we've seen, rather then what we've been told.

People are allowed to talk. It's too bad AAA developers don't even get to, so the only people you hear from giving great talks are from the indie side. Don't think he needs to make a certain amount of games before he's allowed to. He's also helped fund other indie games along with Kellee Santiago as founders of the Indie Fund.

Most of the stuff he talks about are absolutely true.

there was nothing "fun" in Braid, even the platforming was complete flashy type shit. The "oh moments" were indeed good, and the 2d art/animation... that has nothing to do with the Blow dude as he is a complete Zero in art department, and that is the reason the visuals look like Autocad modeling shit here, as it is a new team he got somewhere.

Braid is a great game... the platform is horrible, but that's not the point.. it's about the puzzle, the journey in discovering what the story is about, and the satisfactory that you got from realising that... the art was terrific.

This one, I am not sure, I don't like the art direction neither, but definitely the track record of Braid have already got me hooked

I don't like the way he talks though... no financial objective... blah, blah, I won't believe that bullshit... as someone pointed out, if his objective is to distribute a great game, go to the existing PSN or XBL where more people can have access to it... for christ sake
