Look at the Videos and you'll see. Besides, new game play types are dependant on the developers of the games, not the maker of the console. But I'm sure you knew that.

well...i dont DO torrents, but im downloading some older videos now...

i do realize that the console doesnt dictate the game type but i was commenting on the next gen systems in general.

are there still gonna be things popping up due to draw limits, are the char animations gonna be the same over and over again..... will the gameplay be any better or is that STILL depenant on the developers?

i know the walls and textures will LOOk better, but will the cameras be smarter and better to avoid collisions?

am i hoping for too much or will we all be impressed when this all goes down!?

Obviously we can't expect anymore than better graphics from the 360 or PS3. New game types and innovations comes from the developers. If you're not happy with the next-gen systems, just enjoy your Xbox/PS2/Gamecube.

New hardware means new possibilities, it's up to the developer to take advantage of those possibilities.

Does this strike anyone else as a mainstream killer app? This just keeps looking better and better as far as I can tell. Kudos to Kameo team at Rare, and of course to Xboxyde for continuing to bring us great updates.

This game does feature some cool new gameplay twists but it's a bit lengthy to explain in a short post like this, but let's just say that some of the powers the different creature forms in this game have work in pretty clever ways. On top of that you can combine most of them to get even cooler results. Surely that was possible on the "old" Xbox, too, but there you have it. :)

Whether power can offer much in the way of innovation right now is highly debatable. I think stuff like Dead Rising is probably the only evidence of a game that offers a new kind of gameplay thanks to the sheer amount of characters on screen.
