The Kameo DLC was released last week, adding XBL enabled co-op mode. Two packs of costume additions for the warriors was also released, and Microsoft released these images showing some co-op costumes. Too bad I sold the game after beating it in 8 hours, just like 80% of the buyers seemed to do. The second part of the game rocked, so this DLC should make the game popular when it goes down in price.

That was a big mistake, this game kicks ass i was doing all the side quests exploring all the way, i love this game it took me over 30h to beat it because i was playing very slow and enjoying the game. I like this game so much that i beat it again before a month, i love it, i need to buy this new costumes :P
Anyway, in regards to this I think the skins are really cool, but the game itself isn't really made more attractive because of it. Online co-op? It always felt like a tacked on feature (more or less admitted to be just that) and while doing stuff in co-op gets you achievements it's really not a lot of fun.
I bought the christmas pack, but realised pretty quickly how pointless going back tot he game once you've beat it and upgraded all the warriors is. The wacky extra christmas features in stuff like Sonic Adventure, Jet Set Radio and NiGHTS were worthwhile because those games were worth going back to and replaying in the first place.

But yeah, I see what you mean. I guess I'm mainly just disappointed in being disappointed. After playing the demo I had so high hopes for this game, and I just thought the entire thing felt like a huge tutorial preparing you for a game that never began. Extra content offer a glimmer of hope that I'm also ultimately disappointed in, which makes me disappointed by that fact. :D
If you sold it after beating Thorn you've missed out IMO
Haha, no, it wasn't that bad. I did finish it and everything. I never quite ENJOYED it though, I was just constantly reassured that that NEXT bit of the game would be enjoyable. It does a great job sort of making you feel like you're about to experience something really great, but you never quite do. Sort of like having foreplay. And foreplay. And more foreplay.
I still have it though and I'll prolly keep it, because it's just a tremendously well produced game and I'm quite inclined to say it's prolly still the best looking game on the 360. (I like colour, okay!?)
Also it's full of stuff that'd make great games on their own. Sort of like a smorgasbord of ideas that make you go "ooh, isn't that nice" and then you never see them again in the game. Ever. :)
I'm with you skyform, I am still playing it after about 25 hrs and havent won yet... I'm sure I could have finished it in about 10 hrs or so, but running over trolls in the badlands riding atop a war horse or the prized velociraptor is just too much fun.
I really liked Kameo, its got loads of character and a good atmosphere.
...and the gameplay is really fun.
anyway, skins\models looking good. may be worth another run through with those!
ps:
what christmas packs in sonic adventure and JSR???
I'm right there with you wanting these games and wanting to enjoy them though. Action adventure games like this could very well be my favourite genre if I had to pick one, even if I prefer more platform oriented gameplay in them. I like the design games like these shoot for, I like the colour, the imagination, the freedom in character design, story design, and the variation in level design - Snow, lava, forest, water, and so on, not just 'oh, no it's all just mexico city' - and the freedom in mechanics.
Sonic Adventure didn't have christmas packs per se, but come winter it'd have a christmas theme aswell as decorations for download. JSR also had Santa Claus roaming the streets and christmas decorations up.
But nevertheless I wish I've bought Kameo instead of PDZ. As said before with that update I think I'll give it a second chance. At worst it's one more game in my collection.
I bought the game..great game, beautiful graphics..just feels like it didn't get the recognition it deserved
