Xbox 360

I've received a lot of message asking me to put online the awesome ending video of Dead or Alive 4, so there it is. Needless to say that it's much better to discover it by yourself when playing the game, but I'll let you decide if you should watch it or not !

I love techmo's and team ninja's cinematics. Ninja Gaiden...omg. Anyways this is really cool.

I was wondering if you had a Ryu cinematic? for DOA4, and could post it.

Thank You.

DOA4 has the best ending cinematics of any fighter. Helena's is my favorite. So haunting.

Good ending, kinda cheapened by the stuff after the credits though, but i was kinda expecting something like that.

I was gonna wait till I actually got the game to view the endings, but at the rate its going I' m never gonna find a 360.

They can actually make those graphics happen but they are too lazy.

It took Team Ninja eight months to create the forest level in DOA4. They're not lazy. And those CG graphics were generated with extremely high spec computers, not Xbox 360. Neither 360 not PS3 could handle such detail in real-time.

I think video games should be prerendered...like u buy the game, pop it in the tray and press Start and the whole game be prerendered...that way people would get the best graphics possible! lol :p

Dude, were you drunk when you typed that. I had to read over that comment several times before I could comprehend it. I don't think you even understood it either. A fully prerendered videogame. HUH?

Wait...doesn't pre-rendered mean that they took some gameplay, and just like sharpened everything after.

Like the way they make Jessica Simpson music videos and at the end go back in to get rid of the ugly imperfections on her face.

(P.S. I don't have any ill-will against her)

That’s the more sneaky way to do pre-rendered graphics and fool everyone that is real-time.
Basically you use the in-game engine, add a lot more detail / effects than the actual hardware can afford, you render the scene (in slow motion) in, say, 2-3 frames per second and then glue the frames in a MPEG-2 stream in 25/30 frames per second, and there you have it, “real-time” 30 fps. Almost all PS2 Capcom games use this method, some of Konami’s too. Also some rumors insist that the infamous Killzone “real-time” PS3 video was made this way.
I don’t know if this is due to hardware inefficiency or programmer laziness, but it’s irritating.
I remember viewing Devil may Cry’s cutscenes in my PC with Media Player…

I think the best cut scenes are the Final Fantasy ones...they look amazing, I've never seen anything better.

Oh! so gamers have the ability to make games with the best looking graphics, it'll just be extrememly slow. That's why my Doom 3 can display the graphics perfectly, but play it at 3 FPS.

I heard that it is what they did on Halo 2's cinematics. That's why things look a little sharper on the movies than gameplay. But doing it that way is not unfair because those are cinematics.

You can make games look stunning by using pre-rendered graphics. Septerra Core is one game that comes to mind, a game that looked very nice compared to games of its time due to it's pre-rendered graphics. However, besides the graphics, it didn't animate that well and the special effects looked really out of place. It was a very nice attempt but I think it just didn't work out. Ash on the DS by Mistwalker is another stunning example of pre-rendered graphics. Not that it's out yet so can't really say how much of it really isn't pre-rendered.

Halo 2 cut-scenes are in Real time they just push the graphics more cos they don't have to worry about AI, or control as it's all scripted. However they pushed the graphics a little too far hence why you get the horrid effect of the full terxture appear a second after the view changes.
