GSY Video Xbox One

Since Rise of the Tomb Raider is now available in North America, we can finally show you some more footage of the game, including a new FPS Analysis video showing the second hub area Lara discovers after the Soviet Installation. If you want to discover this new environment by yourself, don't watch. Our analysis proves there are a few drops here and there and some tearing too, which can easily be explained by the number of post-processing effects and details in this gorgeous area.
Update: One last video added. It shows an optional tomb which won't take you much more than 5 minutes to complete.

You could wait for Just Cause 3 if you're interested in none of the games which have been released since September.

I am still upset how they changed her face. I mean the original face didn't seem to animate all that well, but it's... it's just not the same.

I can tell the game is not 1080p, even from video, and on an 11 inch tablet screen. What is the resolution output? I'd like to know why they keep changing her face... The face from the last game (not the definitive edition) was the best. I'll probably wait for a PC version.

Image Quality: - Rise of the Tomb Raider operates primarily at 1920x1080 with post-process anti-aliasing in effect. During cut-scenes this is knocked down to 1440x1080. Unfortunately, the anti-aliasing solution here combined with the assets in use simply cannot keep up with what is on display and we're left with noticeable sub-pixel breakup and shimmering throughout many sequences in the game. Furthermore, we noticed a recurring artefact in which pixels along certain edges appear much lower in resolution than the rest of the game. Just to give a better idea of how the lower resolution used in cut-scenes fares from a gameplay angle, we managed to capture a pair of shots showcasing just this. The first shot was taken just as the cut-scene returned control over to the player and is still rendering at 1440x1080. One frame later, the game returns to 1920x1080. Perhaps 1440x1080 with improved anti-aliasing could have yielded better results?

Apparently you can't ;)

It is clearly 1080p, but the AA issues are very unfortunete. I am playing Fallout 4 now and say what you want about this game...but the AA solution is fantastic. Not a jaggy in sight. I am a bit surprised they didn't come with better AA for Tomb raider, especially when the 360 version isn't even a world of difference. But i am sure they have their reasons.

The DE ver face is better to me
And the skin FX in that ver just adds more life to the character

wonder if we can have 50~60fps on PS4 just like the last TR game.

At least I'm sure we'll have somewhat GOTY Version of the game on PS4

Playing this game is awesome. One of the best games of the year. Gotta give CD credit since the game is better in just about everyway so far. The story is only thing left to be decided since I'm playing thru it now. So far its all been great.

The graphics have been awesome. Gameplay is spot on and the story and voice acting have been great. Enjoying it even more than Fallout 4. I did not think it was wise dropping the game the same time but I see why.

Sometimes you just have to stop and look around. Definitely will be on the list for GOTY if it continues and ends well. Lara is beyond being back. Lara rocks.

30 fps, The game before had last gen NPCs, 3x smaller maps and was not XB1 lead. I'll probably know for sure after testing the PC version. ACU made a lot of hardware choke and that game was XB1 lead. The game also used a lot of CPU power too.

Content wise PS4 version might have all the DLC bundled, possibly the PC version too. By then though the XB1 version will also be really cheap and it's dlc too. lots of things are cheap after a year.

Lets hope the game sells well. Any idea how much did Microsoft pay for this deal. Have SE, devs made enough money with it ? Releasing on same day as Fallout was not the smartest thing to do

The Fall period is ALWAYS busy so it does not matter when it releases. The brand is well recognised worldwide so it will not drown. It will be a question of how much it sells over the next two months. I suspect the game will definitely sell more than 1 million copies on XboxOne worldwide by the end of the year. It may even hit 2 million.

The sales will definitely be better than Uncharted 4. ...And does anyone even mention UC up against COD which is yearly? nope, it's just Tomb Raider VS the world with everyone....

I'm not really into gauging sales figures. The TR sales debate is pointless because it's going to land on all platforms eventually, and it's sales figures will be going up against real exclusives.

Uncharted for Sony moves console and was never in doubt for next installment. I remember devs saying they were disappointed with TR sales. In fact the HD remake was to get the attention again.

Yeah if it sells good and they got enough incentives for timed exclusivity. It may be a good thing for future as well

Up against COD and GTA sure, Uncharted though doesn't stand a chance against tomb raider in sales. The game might end up being on the Nintendo NX as well.

Well Fallout is going to be huge. Uncharted is now pretty big, I think the next one is last in the series. TBH I have my doubts on TR on Xbone but hopefully whatever the sales are they have made up for it via the Microsoft deal some how

Looks like a "teared frame" that is half updated to me.
Anyone can confirm that?
