It seems that ninja theory's artists like to retain art assets through each iteration they do. the usage of face paint and hair styles; are these key assets they like to bring over.
The trailer was running in-engine through UE4, and it looks marvelous on how well they've used the tools. here's hoping for the best now that they're publishers of their game.

Commented on 2014-08-28 04:21:05 In reply to NoClipThe artists that make these CGI trailers begin long collaborations with the developers so that character likeness and other in-game assets are accurately represented. None of these CGI houses goes off and makes a trailer on their own. It can take months to produce these little shorts, and that also means money.
They also serve a purpose. They not only peek gamer interest but can also attract investors, especially if you have nothing in-game to show or reveal. So CGI trailers aren't just eye candy, they're also a necessity for business.
