Gran Turismo Sport may be a bit short of content for its launch, but there is still quite a lot to do for those who love to win gold medals. The single player mode proposes to learn the different tracks little by little before asking you to finish one lap in a certain amount of time, so we chose the iconic Nordschleife to test the wheel lent to us by Fanatec for review purposes. The CSL Elite Wheel for PS4 and the CSL pedals we have received make the game even more immersive, but we'll give our detailed impressions in a future article which should be available before Christmas (we have a lot of games to cover on PC, PS4 and Xbox One). Until then, enjoy the following videos as we were playing with low ABS and traction control set to 1. We'll obviously also try the game with no assists at all but it was our very first try with the wheel so we played it safe. Our PS4 Pro was set in 1080p and performance mode when we recorded the footage yesterday, hence the 60 fps replays.
Update: 2 videos added showing the MAggiore track in a race against the AI (medium difficulty).

i mean, think what you want about it's competitive approach or lack of "civic to super car" career mode, but the reviews are all saying it's the best feeling sim racer at the moment. a flop would maybe give them the wrong idea that the foundation they have is broken, when it's actually the best it's been.
i think they just need a group of vocal people complaining to them on twitter or something that they want a standard collectathon career back, but i imagine that would be present and correct in GT7 anyway so it might be wasted breath. probably easier to accept this spin off online focused GT isn't the GT7 you expected it to be and play something more to your liking instead? it's not like we're short on options when it comes to old style career modes in racers.

This is a great review and by far the best on the net as they get it100% bang on and it's not just a 2-5 minute review they go in proper.

It's the lowest rated GT game of all time but will sell purely on those graphics, PD are smart they know they cannot compete with real sims so they go purely for the cosmetic route which of course works with casual as like you they see the shiny graphics and declare it "the best sim EVERRRRRRRR"
It's a fun arcade/simcade tilte but brandishing it the best feeling is hilarious.

i'll just assume since you're posting it that's it's generally negative? lol
I do agree though, if they are going for the accessible arcade/sim route, then really here they should have just went all out for sim, given the nature of the game they were aiming for, which is purely just racing against other people with a limited selection of race cars.
I'd much prefer it they stuck to what the series was best known for, or at least when I last played it, which was back on A-Spec, and have it as a single player experience with all the latest cars, and classics, for the petrol heads. I loved that about the originals. Picking up a second hand old banger and then souping it up, giving it a wash, paint job, some new wheels, a spoiler. Simple times, but great. Well, its obvious PD now longer have the resources to do this. The modern industry has caught them by the balls, unfortunately. I'd very much imagine that the trade off for 1000+ vehicles to have high end models with interiors would come at a massive cost, and most of all, the nice lighting and shaders and replays and all that would take a dent.

The cars and track are also enough. I need more GT tracks than real one TBH but le man track missing is weird. I hope that will be a free update. Daytona, laguna seca too lol. GT6 IMO had the best tracks for its time. Also we need GT mode back. Not everyone wants to play online. If they can update this game with GT mode and more content that would be great. I doubt weather and day/night cycle will be added sadly
But you have to admit, it is still hilarious how the worst GT game ever will still probably sell more than all the Forza games released so far this gen. Such is the way with PlayStation fans and their dedication to supporting their 1st party releases (or the masses who are in for a shock when THEY find out there is no proper campaign mode in the game).
And GT has ALWAYS been the best handling out there when it comes to sim racers. How anybody can deny that is just insane.

But all that being said I still think it is ridiculous and appaling to create a game fundamentally this good and yet neglect so many gamers.
This game is useless to any non psplus user which isn’t free by the way so add that to the cost of purchasing the game.
The game is useless to single player gamers
The game is useless if you hate online (not the same as above point)
The game is actually quite useless on a pad
The game is useless if you like car modding or collecting
