Quake 4 is the other FPS published by Activision for the Xbox 360 launch. And that's about all this game has in common with the excellent Call of Duty 2. Quake 4 could have been a good game, but the technical issues, especially the framerate, just killed any interest I could have had in this game single player mode. The multiplayer on Xbox Live is quite good, but unfortunately it looks like there aren't many players. Make sure you rent this game (if possible) before paying the full price.

Fun game, very average--Quake fans should enjoy it though. (I know I did, and enjoy the MP quite a bit on PC, haven't tried the 360 ver. yet)
Sorry about the truncated file, it's fixed now.

but the game play is solid (frame rate aside)
but it makes me want PRAY even more.
Quake4 is already better then Quake3 in the sense it actually has a SP game, and the MP is pretty much the same as Quake3.. Only thing that makes Quake3 better is maybe the fact it has bots, and a lot of mods like Rocket Arena, but Quake4 will get that too eventually (at least I hope so)..
Ontopic, this movie looks pretty much the same as Quake4 on my PC, except I play it at 1280x1024 there instead of 640x480 with 2xAA? like in this movie.. And the very poor aim displayed proves my point again that FPS on a console just sucks because of the controls.. On the PC it is a very fun game, if you're into old-skool competitive DM games.. ;)
To bad by far most of today's gamers aren't anymore, all they seem to care for are slower, more causal, teambased games, preferably with vehicles.. :\
quake 4 on my PC (My Athlon FX 55, Geforce 7800) looks soo much better and much smoother at constant at 60fps..
Why couldnt they pull this off on a suposedly more powerfull 3-core 360?? infact ive never seen a 360 game to date that runs without some kind of framerate problem, my PC is soo owning my 360 at the moment for graphics.. oh well. never mind..
infinite wisdom. you realy are the all seeing eye when it comes to a game review.
how silly of me tho actually like the game and how silly of ign to give it 8 outa 10
you should become a game journo !!!
.........NOT !
I can even play with Bots on PC. And I love it.
Do you guys think all this extreme Quake 360 frame-rate bashing is justified? I mean, the guys at Gamespot just gave it their "Worst frame-rate of the year" award...
But it looks fine to me. I'm interesting in buying this game, if not now - at least eventually after a price drop or something. If I'm the kind of guy of loves all sorts of FPS games and is pretty open-minded - is there truly a reason that I should not consider buying Quake 360?!
