Xbox 360

Senko no Ronde Rev X. is the second japanese Xbox 360 game I get to play this week-end. I'm very busy with the trip to Leipzig and the server optimizations so I didn't have a lot of time to really train correctly, but I've still managed to record this fairly interesting video. This game is a strange but interesting mix of a fighting game and a "Bullet Hell" Shoot'em Up, and at first it's really confusing. But after a few minutes everything starts to make sense and it get really enjoyable. The game system is quite simple: A for boosts, X for simple attacks, Y for special attack (guided projectiles, or temporary power ups for the simple attack), B for the secondary attack (bullet hell, mines...), right trigger for the shield and the lest trigger for the mega attack. It doesn't take more than a minute to get used to the controls, as expected from an arcade game. This is a really enjoyable but of course quite limited in scope title, old school gamers should love it.
The video was recorded at 60 fps and was terribly difficult to encode correctly. As I do not wish to make any compromise on the quality, I've had to limit the length to a bit more than 4 minutes for the low quality version, and only one rather long fight the the HD one. As always the 720p60 version requires a very powerful computer.

Senko is another game I picked up on day one here in japan, great title but I dont think anyone will ever see it outside of japan. Its classic shooter meets one on one fighter with a few really annoying bosses thrown in. Its the quirky type of game that is popular here, but rarely seen these days outside of the PS2 and arcades.

Speaking of annoying boss, do you have a tactics to beat the one on level 5? I get it to about 50% of its health, but I get killed every time.

this game is ok if you're into these type of shooters.
I picked it up, but to be honest I'd rather sell it than keep it.
However, for those of you with a great HD set, it might just be right up your alley.

Ive actually only been able to beat him once, however thier are several people on my friends list who can take that one down every time. Basically you get his pattern down for the first 3 sections or so, you can do this so that you dont even get hit. The final part where he is spraying the attacks you center yourself and just go at him head to head avoiding what you can and using the shield as needed. It works well for them, but only once for me. The key is really not getting hit in the first few stages of the boss.

Also, that boss has nothing on the octopus boss, which Ive only known one person who has beaten him. I cant even hit that boss.

So RuneX, this game shatters Ninja Gaiden in difficulty? Sounds great, because it seems I will have a great time with such a game, it looks like it has a lot of dept in it's combat system.

BTW: Can you play this game on a PAL Xbox 360 and does it have an option for English language? And more importantly, is there a chance it will come out in Europe?

I doubt very much it will hit europe but then again,.

This is how it sounded late 2005 and early 2006.

No,N3 and Enchanted arm is only for JPN,n3 might come to USA though...
Reasons why they only thought it would come to Japan is because of the deisgn of thopse games were heavly asian made.

Now both N3/EM is soon out here in EU.

So anything can happend.

if this is that game you played, then you would know. senko no ronde was a hit in the arcades over there, and was going to get a dreamcast port but that was scrapped. i love these shootemups too much so i'll grab this sometime.

This game never had a demo. You're probably thinking of Zegapain XOR, which is in a completely different genre. Except they both have mechs.

Yeah that's the game sorry for the mix up. I still don't think this game would be my cup of tea. I'm not one for Fighting games the only ones I give a chance are the Soul Caliber games besides that I really dislike Fighting games.

Sorry for the negative comment, but I loved ZoE and honestly this doesn't hold a candle to a 3-year old PS2 game.

Not impressed.
