Trailer PS3

Its existence has been known for a few weeks now, but now it's official: LittleBigPlanet 2 is being worked on, and seems already working very well if this great trailer is any indication!

Well all the original LBP levels will work with LBP2 according to the trailer so... i dont see how this will do any separating.

As long as they DO work, let sbe honest a slight tweak and half your level can fall apart, what would a new engine do?

there is hardly a new engine, looks like LBP 1 with more game creator modes and assets.

Never was a fan, i mean i liked the social aspect and graphics but thought it should've been a download game - there are a lot better platformers out there. Though user created content is great, what am i really paying for? This one looks like even more of the same philosophy, if it's half priced i'm in!

Why couldn't this be another update pack? I find the water levels much more different.

The rat race looked prety sweet as did the space invaders bit.

Be interesting to see what people do with this, not sure it will seel as weel as the first though.

I think some people need to read a little bit about how some of the new mechanics work before writing it off as nothing more than an update pack. It's easy to watch the trailer and take allot of it for granted, just the ability to create your own NPC's and enemies and programme there a.i is a huge addition. Also being able to map the sixaxis buttons and tilt to vehicles, machines, characters e.t.c completely changes the game.

the first LBP is one of my top 10 games this generation easily, maybe even top five. I thought it was so creative and more importantly, FUN. Also, it's the only game I've played that my girlfriend would literally beg me to put in the PS3. so that gets major points as well

I have no doubt they will make another outstanding game.

day one, freaking excited as hell, any game that can give you an infinate pool of content is A-ok in my book.

the main thing i love about this new one (that admitidly could have been patched into the first one) is the ability to link user created levels into series, alowing you to play every stage in order without having to go to the hub first. simple, but awesome addition. as is the ability to record your own sound and animate and "programme" AI. it's deffinately enough to warrent a sequel. i can't imagine they'd be able to just 'patch' this kinda stuff into the first game without breaking a lot of people's levels in the process.

The original LBP never convinced me just by looking at the trailer, this one does. Very good trailer.

If they put this out as an update pack they'd have to charge $60 for it anyways with the amount of new stuff.

I literally have no idea how they could release a content-pack with upgraded visuals and all these added features and not price it as a full game... what you guys smoking lol?

Oh come on the slightest patches fuck some things up when it comes to the community levels, there WILL be issues, but will they be ommunity splitting problems or not time will tell

That is my worry

LBP2 actually uses GOW3 tech for a lot of it's visual improvement.

http://www.gamerzines.com/ps3/news/lbp2-uses-god-o...

pretty cool

i dont think there will be issues with moving stuff over to LBP2. by the way the devs have explained it they still seem to ve very seperate entities. you will simply have access to LBP stuff through LBP2. afterall, they havnt changed the physics or anything, that comes in when you start creating games through LBP2, and they can only be accessed through LBP2. there shouldnt be issues tbh.
