GSY Video PC

As promised, Hangar 13 released a 2 GB patch allowing to play at 60 fps or with an unlimited frame-rate. The result will not be entirely satisfying if you intend to run the game at 1440p, as even our GTX 1080 can't prevent a few drops in such a resolution. 1080p seems much better of course, but we haven't had time to play much to be sure it is steady in all circumstances. That being said, even though the patch has improved the overall experience on PC, there are most certainly still a whole lot of bugs and glitches to fix. The following video was also recorded with a Sweet FX preset we found on the Internet. It's not exactly what we would want the game to look like yet, but at least it does not have that washed out filter anymore.

Has nothing to do with the video but... Thanks for all of the hardwork you've been doing, Drift!

The overall look is much better without the Brown filter, but it still looks far from how the game looked in the first Story trailer (One Way Road):

http://www.gamersyde.com/news_mafia_iii_release_da...

I'm sure the developers ended up having to knock down the graphical quality in order to optmize the game, but I watched that trailer a dozen times and loved how the game's gameplay sections almost looked like a CG movie.

Still, it's for the best if the game would end up like Assassin's Creed: Unity, where the "developers' vision" took priority over the "reality" of current hardware power and was a mess for many months.

980ti barely touches the 60fps limit in FULL HD (and I normally play 2560x1080 so I am screwed). Shame, really. No wonder they wanted to lock the game at 30....

I guess this means my 1070 will have the same performance as your 980ti?

I don't know but I am still with a very old driver build because the latest one were giving me blue screen on change of display (multimonitor setup) for no reason. I will install soon the latest drivers but I doubt they will do much difference.

Just killed the first boss and gained my first district. The location where it takes place is absolutely awesome. Loving the game so far. Yes, it's a little glitchy, but I'm sure it's going to get fixed eventually.

Such a pity that it's getting so much hate while boring repetitive multiplayer games gets all the praise.

True, especially on steam they complain so much about graphics etc, and (literally) those same users don't even know that the game (every game) has graphic settings to adjust. I mean it is like they started playing on pc yesterday and didn't live for the past 20 years. I am also very often hard to satisfy and hate framerate problems....but the game runs pretty well and I heard that lowering the reflex quality gains LOTS of fps with minor differences. That said, I am enjoying the game, still better than watch dogs etc. And I don't find it very similar to GTA as much as other haters keep saying....

Part of the reason I am pissed off at this game is that I literally cannot even launch it. And when i can get it playing, it crashes randomly every other minute or so. I already have 4 hours of gameplay logged on steam, and I haven't gotten past the first mission. All that time is me trying to get this shit working. I can ignore the glitches, but when there is seriously something wrong with the software itself then this is just unacceptable.

I'm hearing some people can't even launch the Game On PC. So far, I'm not having any of those problems and it hasn't crashed for me yet.

Does it have something to do with the new driver update from Nvidia?

How can a game that looks so, well average, require so much GPU horsepower.

the game is running fine with the latest drivers. I really don't think the game looks that bad....and I am quite picky in regard, so.....anyway yes, the game is too demanding for its graphics.

Because the optimization the devs did was lock the game to 30fps, lmao.

We haven't been sent the console versions. From what I know, they are even poorer technically.
