Also I better see some screens of 3 people on the screen doing their special at some point. I'm a little worried about them pulling that off.

it's a bit weird tbh. i like some shots, with the really dark shadowing around the character, but the effects look really out of place. making it looks a bit ugly overall. despite not particularly likeing the style they went for in SF4, i think overall i prefer it to what i've seen of this.

This just seems more proof we need to see the game in action, because this is a game with lots of effects going on that won't be captured in screenshots.

Hmm, never played mvc2, didn't wanna buy a game I never played or cared much for before, but these screens look awsome. not too keen on the outline but it's not bad but I really like the shadowing. The special effects look awsome and I can imagine in motion this will look stunning.

This game looks stunning in every way, it puts SF4 to shame tbh and that game looked great. This is very impressive!

hmm bit of a mix. The characters look great..and i bet even better in motion. Backgrounds look pretty poor to my eyes though.

If spidermans not in the game then how it looks will be moot to me anyway, as i wont be picking it up

Hmmm it looks pretty sharp but the characters look like they are made out of plastic and the backgrounds are dull, i like sf4's visual style alot more.

I also think it looks awesome, I don't know you some of you complain about. It's a different look to SF4 though, so I don't know if it puts it shame (although technically it certainly does)

Dude, you can't possibly be that much of a critic. Does anything make you happy? Sometimes I think you must be a sad gamer. Most of your comments complain about the smallest superficial things. I try my best to see things from your point of view sometimes, but if I did, there would be no reason for gaming as it seems nothing makes you happy. I never asked the question, but what games do you see as flawless? I'm curious. I think it looks awesome and close to the ink style montage trailer for Street Fighter4.

Don't know why Driftwood posted these scaled down images, I thought the same till I saw the full size pics on kotaku, game looks much better. Not a fan of SF4 art direction either. But there is little point comparing the two since its so early in the development cycle.

I hope Capcom improve the textures on the model so they don't look so plastic, and Wolverine is huge lol he is meant to be like 5ft tall.

no such thing as a flawless game. sorry.

but there are plenty of games that make me happy. but visually i'm not entirely liking what i'm seeing of this. i rent games for this very reason. few games actually make me jump for joy the moment i see them. but most of them interest me enough to warrent a rent. this will safely be under "rental" tho. but thats partly down to the fact i havnt played a really good fighter since soul calibur 2.

As far as the Soul Calibur2 being a really good fighter, I can agree with you on that one. I remember having it for the Dreamcast, and my buddies and I would have this little tournament for countless hours. You'd just hate to give up the controller if you lost. Bragging rights were earned back then when there was no such thing as online multiplayer or exploited cheats and glitches that would augment your luck. Man, good times. On another note, what's the point in having those great graphics in this new Marvel vs Campcom game if the playing field will be restricted to 2D. It doesn't have to sweep too much, but at least go as Far as Vitua Fighter2 did. Sure it was 3D and a little dynamic at times, but it never ruined the gameplay nor did it for Soul Caliber2. Oh, and Dead or Alive 3 was also awesome.

DOA3 wasn't that great imo, DOA2 LE remains the best DOA game, followed by 4.
Remembering how awesome the Dreamcast was makes me sad... alpha 3, code veronica, powerstone..
