As Bioware promised some months ago, here is a trailer of Mass Effect 3 dedicated to the female Shepard. The game will be out in early March and a demo will be available over the Xbox Live on February 14th. Update: 3 screens added.
Bah, I hate to have to wait for these games to be released.
PS:how long till KORNdog comes to this thread to say something bad about it because its not a ps3 exclusive?
Hmm, call me sexist, but I'm not a fan of the female Shepard. I just can't take the character seriously at all in female form. It just doesn't fit the bill. It's just pandering for the male adolescent desire to some some digital lesbian sex, or in other words, it's right up IRAIPOIRS street.

I feel teh need to explain myself everytime this comes up.
No I don't need that thing you mention, its just that since I have the option I prefer to look at a woman instead of a man character in a game, besides the voice acting is way superior of female Shepard than male one IMO.
Another thing is that I don't and will never pretend or indentify myself with the main character of any game whatsoever, Im not that kind of gamer.
So whan I say I prefer to see a woman ass over a man, well there is not more to it than that.

Actually I take Jennifer Hale's voicing of the Fem-Shepard more seriously than the male Shepard but that's just me, I hate the Male-Shep's voice. As for pandering to males, these days when it comes to western RPGs, your attitude may be a little behind the times.
There's been a significant shift in the numbers over the years, Bioware acknowledged that women (they didn't mention the age range) make up close to half of the gamers playing their games like Mass Effect and Dragon Age. Lionhead also acknowledged similar figures for Fable last year.
I suppose it's easy or simple to assume that it's male pandering, but that trailer was geared entirely towards the female player. Bioware has built an ENTIRE marketing campaign around the Fem-Shepard. She will even share the cover on the N7 CE of ME3.
Why do you think ME's story has become so much more like a soap opera, or as Grift likes to put it, "a dating sim?" All of this isn't being done for us dudes, Bioware takes it's growing female demographic very seriously.

I have a hard time believing this. All of the sexytime stuff (and the chatter that usually surrounds it) in Mass Effect seems exceptionally juvenile to me.

Fantastic trailer, and finally omg FINALLY a REAL Shepard, not this ugly male shep they used everywhere before. This is how the game should be played, fem Shep is the real badass hero here. To everyone who doesn't likes it, sorry but you got some real issues. Also if anyone thinks that they try to "appeal" to female audience -- bullshit. I'm an adult male, I play only fem characters, it's much more of an appealing to male audiences than female. Anyway, trailer is double cool 'cause there's Samara in it, damn I hope she can be a real partner like in ME2, not just appear for some short mission or something...

I'm only repeating what I've heard Chris Priestly saying at BSN and what Bioware reps have been saying since they started the Fem-Shep campaign which I remind you started with new "hair styles". It was not something the guys were asking for. But female fans on the BSN boards created tons of threads for Fem-Shep, and they got what they wanted.
And it isn't just female gamers they're trying to appeal to, Bioware has also been courting gay and lesbian gamers. In fact Marc Walters (ME2&3 Lead Writer) visited the BSN forums in a very well known posting, directly informing male gamers (and banning a huge number of complainers in the process) that if they didn't like the new appeal that Bioware is making to other demographics, to "Get Over Themselves"
So while you're preference to play a Fem-Shepard is noted, don't confuse Bioware's intentions. They ARE appealing to both women and homosexuals.
