Xbox 360 PS3

Electronic Arts just sent us this brand new trailer of Medal of Honor: Airborne, and this one is much better than the previous. It actually makes me want to try playing this.

It does give you the impression it can actually be something. Still don't know for sure though.

hmm, I don't know. That was pretty intense I think. Airborne might actually be worth trying out. A big step up from the last movie no doubt...

lame ass narrator. He ruins the whole "dramatic" mood of the trailer.

well i disagree, the trailer was really good. it made the game seem unique and interesting. much cuz of the narrator. well i admit it sounded cheesy.. haha but i liked the overall impression

Yeah this looks better than that previous trailer but it still doesn't "WOW" me.
A game that definitely did do that was Brothers in arms :HH. And i can't wait for the new info and shots.
Seems like the only real war game that tries to be original, tries new things. Check that MOH movie..graphics look nice here and there (nothing incredible though)
but that gameplay looks exactly like all the previous MOH titles...and IMO they are getting tiresome.

I know I won't be buying it but at leats they are trying something new...

ow and btw, sdry, the billet time effect was there as a trailer effect, not part of the gameplay, did you listen at all what the narrator was saing?

Good trailer, it explains the key gameplay mechanics.

Wow, they actually made the game seem... good? This one was waaay off the radar, and now looks to be doing something. Coming in August--perfect timing.

Already in August? It's likely to suck then :) as the gameplay looks totally generic except for the paradrop. Screenshots showcase ugly lighting and low level of detail. Frame rate dips during the drop...

That didn't seem right. we sure this is gameplay. The first sequence in particular seemed more like CGI, similar to the first BIA movie we saw.

so, buying any new half-life games are against your religion? They are being published by EA now.

published and developed are 2 different things.

game looks great tho. very intense, graphically its average for this gen of consoles (thats to say its pretty good) but the fact you drop anywhere in a map is what makes it great imo. although at the end of the day, thats gonna be be a 1 minute segment and then your back into same old same old WW2 FPS territory. so i'll probably pass on it, or at least wait a year until its cheap.

The idea though is that you can replay each map and land at different locations each time, thus making the gameplay experience different each time. I only wish it was an entire city rather one contained little area, but its a cool premise nonetheless.

Imagine in multiplayer that everyone dropped from a plane before the match started and then you took cover in different places. That would be awesome.

IMO the only good MoH was the one(s) on the psx. They just seem to be outdated now. Idk what it is. This looks pretty good though.

true, the difference of each play through is determined on where you land on the map. but that is still only a starting point. the core gameplay is still running around shooting nazi's in the face, in which case i can just play any WW2 shooter with practically the same results. also, i find it hard to belive objectives will be different if you land in one place compared to another. the objectives will probably stay the same, you just do them in different orders, which again, is things we've seen. airbornes only real draw is the initial stages of a mission where you jump and land, other then that, you may as well play Call of duty.

I guess you have a point there. It would be nice if there were some stealth based missions using the land anywhere mechanic. Like blowing up nazi train tracks containing weapons or whatever, ya know, that type of shiz. But yeah, its essentially land anywhere, then shoot up the joint.
