Trailer PC Xbox 360 PS3

EA must have been thinking that it was more than time to try to get a piece of Activision's cake by reviving the Medal of Honor franchise. As a result, 2010 will bring us a whole new episode which will unsurprisingly be set in modern times in Afghanistan. EA sent us this first trailer of the game, planned for a Fall 2010 release.

Looks like Modern Warfare with much smoother graphics, which is a VERY good thing IMO.

Not sure how similar the mulitplayer or gameplay will be, but from what we see here I think my interest in this game has just gone way up.

Can't really say it is looking too much like MW2. It more looks like a game to the Ridley Scott-movie "Body of Lies" and I really like that!

I can see that for sure, I just meant the clips of looking down the sights and "death from above" like gameplay segments look a lot like CoD type gameplay mechanics. I wasn't trying to bash it as MoH came before CoD games.

I think modern weapons make for great shooters so I have high hopes if they put enough time into this game it should turn out really good.

Especially the lighting is very good. The daytime sequences look almost lifelike.

Just finished reading that the multiplayer part of the game is being done by Dice. Should be very interesting to see what they do with this game.

last Medal of Honor game I enjoyed was Allied Assault (playing that along with Battlefield 1942 = best WWII games ever). Airborne was ass, hopefully this will be good. Graphics look great (probably the pc version)

this game will be more open world than modern warfare 2. you play the "real stuff" that happened in afghanistan. no fictional crisis. looks very promising. btw: gfx are nice. looks like cry engine 3

If DICE are doing the multiplayer, then it will probably have dedicated servers. Sounds good to me!

Even if the Single Player sucks, the Multi will probably be super.

what would we do without American's saving the day?

Didn't THQ get negative feedback at E3 and actually cancel a game because it was set during a present war? Can't say i've read much backlash against EA for setting this in Afganistan

Hopefully this means that the singleplayer will have some real depth. Rather than the simplistically impressive over the top action of COD.

Indeed, it doesn't look like COD, it looks like Body of Lies. Strange thing everyone is now calling MOH a COD clone, while COD was the clone of MOH made by the same people.

It's like Gears of war. Every third person shooter with cover is being called a GeoW clone, while that was a clone itself.

Anyhow: this was the best trailer show at the VGA's.

Edit: could it be that this is the CryEngine 3?
Which game was Gears of War a clone of?

The cover system was a clone from this game http://i.neoseeker.com/p/Games/Xbox/Action/Shooter...

Gears of War and Kill.Switch share little in common except for a cover-based game mechanic.

the term "clone" is just some lazy journalists throw around.. it usually means a games cloned a mechanic from the game that came before it thats most in the publics subconciousness.. not necessarily the first game to use the mechanic

Fanboy's usually revert to some obscure game like "kill switch" in effert to take away from the achievements of a game that made a certain mechanic more accessable, and widely copied.

Kill Switch is a strange one though.. as other than "a" cover system, it being 3rd person, and the ability to fire a gun, it has nothing in common with Gears...and is doubtful it was ever inspiration for gears.

Plus, unless wickipedia is lying to me..kill switch didnt hit till 2003, where as games like metal gear solid were using the cover mechanic's, and guns, years earlier.

Kill.Switch was not an obscure game at all. It was a PC-game that many console gamers never heard of. And it was the first game to use those kind of mechanics we see now in GeoW. Ofcourse GeoW is infinitely better.
I don't believe i ever once mentioned you? Obviously that guilty fanboy conscience is getting the better of you. I was simply generalising.

Also, i think you need to look up the word "obscure"

Kill Switch was a PS2/Xbox game that was later ported to the PC. It's a Namco game. I'm pretty sure more console gamers have played Kill Switch than PC gamers.

Just sayin'
