Trailer PC Xbox 360

THQ has released the launch trailer for Metro 2033, the game based on the novel of Dmitry Glukhovsky is out this week. The song used (well-known to those who have seen the movie 28 Days Later) set the atmosphere for this post-apocalyptic shooter that takes place in Moscow.

Wow...that was one of the best instrumentals I heard for a game in a while lol. It was so perfect, anyone know the name of it.

this is why i personally hate when people from any branch of the entertainment industry re-use an original soundtrack such as this trailer. the song was made for the movie 28 Days later, but people will mistake it for another persons work such as this trailer. sorta like the requiem for a dream theme "lux aeterna" which was used is practically every SAW trailer and 14 other movie trailers, now hardly anyone knows what it came from.
sorry i just had to get that off my chest. this game is ridiculously demanding btw on the PC.

Well, I hope you have a beast of a PC.
My rig: i7 930 @3.8, 2 HD5870 crossfire, 6GB DDR3. I can't play this game on max settings (dx11, very high, 4 AA). I have to play it in dx10 and high settings without AA to have a consistent framerate of 60 fps (which is needed for this fast paced shooter imo). If I turn on dx11 (without advanced DOF), the framerate drops to 30 more then often. BUT: it looks stunning, even on high settings.

Reviews point out that the game doesn't translate all that well to the Xbox360 in terms of gameplay (mainly the shooting part, which is no problem on PC). But it is said to be one of the best looking games on consoles.
LOL )))))
I have Athlon 64 X2 @ 2.7, Radeon HD4670, 3Gb DDR2 and I've the same results as yours ))) but I play on DX10 with 4AA ))))))

That's what we used to do back in the day. I miss those innocent times, where we just bought games on the shelves based on their covers :D

I never did that...back in the day I would rely on magazine reviews and would never buy a game based on it's cover unless it was a scrolling shooter which was the one genre I could never get enough of.
