Electronic Arts is trying something new today to promote Need for Speed: Shift with these videos where four race cars drivers explain their passion for racing, without ever mentioning the game. It's quite interesting and really well done, so why not?

Agreed. This, Dirt 2, and Forza 3 all look amazing. And they're all coming out this year! It's a great time for racing fans.

Pretty funny with all the talk about passion for cars, if you didnt know better you'd think this was for Forza 3 instead ;) Maby thats a good thing eh? :P

You took the words right out of my mouth. absolutely agree. They're making it look as if this game is the real driving simulator when it's no where close. What a joke!

Yeah, it would indeed be a shocker if the people that worked on PC sims like GTR, GTL, GTR2 and the physics engine of RBR (talking about the people at Slightly Mad Studios, the studio developing this game for EA) would actually be capable of creating an racing simulator.

I saw the videos earlier in full glory (1920-1080), over at nfsplanet (http://www.nfsplanet.com/nfsshift_movies.php?lang=eng)and they are very nicely done!

Dirt's a safe bet, Forza 3's a safe bet, this?... not a chance

For me Forza3 is out, i was hopping for night racing, weather changing and full damage, im getting Splinter cell instead for my 360.

You should at least try out Forza before you decide because if you're going to rule it out based only on those 3 criteria then you wouldn't get any of them since they're all pretty equal in that regard. They all have full damage and roll over and none of them have night or weather variants. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
