I really want to watch some gameplay!!
I can dream.
I just hope the gameplay keeps up with everything else they have showned so far.
I love everything they have showned so far :)
And after I saw the character I thought of Castlevania. Looks like the japanese got stuck serving projects that are made of parts of other games.
It seems like anything's a God of War clone nowadays.
It seems like anything's a God of War clone nowadays.
Atleast Gabriel is well designed unlike the hidious Kratos LOL
Second look was..."oh...it's a bit like Shadow of the C. too " hm...
Hope the get this Lovecraft feeling that the first Castlevania games on NES had in.
Guess there is no open world and free roaming,it looks a lot linear to me,with a solid (i hope so) story to tell.
Yeah, and compare it to gow,it's the most recent game that came out these days,so yeah.
Otherwise i could say it reminds me of Rygar..and any other decent 3D hack n slash game.
It's a Genre,and GENRE's actually existed before GOW !
Now it's true..people just talk about clones. But one thing is true,GOW refined the meaning of a good Hack'n slash in 3D..especially the first one !
Mercury Steam hasn’t made many games. Has this been a learning process for them?
Yeah, sure, absolutely. I think with Mercury Steam, after what happened with Jericho, they needed a challenge that would make people sit up and pay attention to them. They needed to prove to the world that they weren’t just the developer of Jericho. So in many ways it’s good for Konami because they’re willing and able to push themselves in order to prove a lot of naysayers wrong. Jericho was a horrible experience for them and unfortunately the developer often gets tarred with the brush when these things are often an amalgamation of a lot of things. It can often be the publisher, themselves or the way the relationship was managed. And it was a licensed product too, you have to remember. So I think for them it was just a horrible experience. But we do believe in Mercury Steam and we intend to do more work with them in the future. And hopefully when people see the finished product they’ll be suitably impressed and start to think of Mercury Steam as the studio that developed Castlevania and not the studio that developed Jericho. To be fair, you know, there are about 70 people working on this game, which isn’t a lot when you compare it to games like God Of War or Uncharted, which take five years to make with 150 people and are usually single format. We’re a pretty small team, working with perhaps not the biggest budget in the world. But we love Castlevania, and love can get you quite a lot…
On the other hand this giant battles are a little worn out these days... but thats not only from GOW3.
Looks promising to me but i got to see more of the actuall gameplay.
The athmosphere and the look is pretty good i think, moody and dark.
Let us all hope the best and mabey we can finally get a good castlevania since...
