Electronic Arts and Microsoft put online on XBL the first teaser trailer of Need for Speed: Shift, done with ingame footage. It looks quite good, but hopefully it will be smoother in the final game.

The camera motion, the physics, the action going on, just pour over some motion blur and it'll look amazing.
Shit this stuff is good! :D
i'm not sure if need for speed is a franchise that can be saved anymore. but who knows. maybe they'll finally make a better game then the hot pursuit series.

EDIT: just looked at the trailer, and can safely say that GT5 has nothing to worry about.:p
Btw the graphics look very jaggie, like it's not in 720p, really it looks low res, hmmm.
please call it shift before it goes to the crapper!!!!
If the car behaving will be realistic then this could be some freaking good game but as i already said Ferrari Project is the game to watch could be some killer sim.
also GT5p is more simulation rather than arcade style gameplaywise, i prefer sim, but i guess you prefer arcade. i stopped being a fan of N4S after ps1.

About graphics, well they worked on the gameplay until now there is still alot time from them to improve the graphics and if they fix the framerate problems and jaggies then it's already looking better then GT5P.

even after polishing, i highly doubt that it would look better than GT5p, and it certainly does not look better than GT5p already, i guess for now we'll have to agree to disagree. maybe after some more gameplay footage i might be convinced.
i have a nagging suspicion that the playable version the media were talking about could have been running on a high end pc.

GTR does all this things better then Forza and GT5P but im bored playing games on PC, dont know why it wasnt like this in the past but it's now.
Somethings in the graphics already look better then GT5P, environments look better for sure, they are bigger and way more detailed, car models look similar good but the game looks damn jaggie and low res, if they fix this it's goind to look awesome.
You could be right about the PC version, or maybe they played a newer build, i have no idea, but this low res look clearly destroyes the whole graphics.
pc gaming alone isn't enough for me personally, a bit of console gaming is great as well, but i mostly only buy console exclusives. i own pc(GTX295:p), ps3, wii, psp and ds.
I gotta say Shift is looking great so far. And thank you for releasing ingame footage instead of some worthless CG. Just hope they put out a demo and include an option to turn down that damn blur effect when you crash.

I usually would turn off Traction Control and Stability Management but keep the ABS on and the car while it's not GT5 Prologue, drives as well as GT4 except for the sense of speed which is decidedly more arcade.
The car handles really well even the faster ones. I've even downloaded the 8 Ball pack and the TVR, the Nissan GT-R, the Maclaren F1, all handles great.
Still, I think NFS: SHift will be a more of a simulation game than GRID and obviusly the car will handles more realistically, and from what I've read (an Interview with SMS' Ian Bell) even revolutionary. It eschews the current implementaton of physics in most racing simulation games but I guess we have to wait until the game's released to find that out.
But, since the last couple of NFS's were complete cock-ups...I'm being cautious with this one. And I'm with the lot that hopes it won't handle like Grid, but then again...there's no racing game out there that handles worse than Codemasters racers this gen, except maybe for that "Juiced 2" game.
looks much better.
The cars seem to go even slower in corners then in PGR4, more like PGR3 which i find better, PGR4 was easier and more on rails, but still far better then GRID.
GRID was so bad that you could actually already see in videos that the cars are going like mad into corners an that they behave very unrealistic.
