You are probably going to think that Gamersyde lost it somehow, that proposing videos of Euro Truck Simulator 2 is some kind of bad joke. Well, it's not actually, we were quite surprised to see that this game could be fun, provided you like driving long distances at reasonable speed with a big trailer. This game really is the best truck simulation out there, which isn't that hard considering there is no competition in the genre. This first video is just to show you what the game looks like, my driving is terrible and there were a few framerate dips because of Fraps. Miguel will show us more of the game later, it gets rather addictive, which again is all very surprising when you think of it. And it doesn't even look bad.
Note: Videos are in French because there is no other language in our version of the game. Enjoy the French radio!
Update: Added 3 videos drove with a Logitech G27.

I enjoyed 18 Wheels of Steel in the past, I might pick this up one day, it is a nice change from AAA games.

Seriously, i can get why you'd want a flight simulator...i mean getting a license to fly a plain takes time and money, but a goddamn truck? If you buy this game, here is my advice to you; realize your dream. Save up some money and spend a month gettting a drivers license then go get a job as a truck driver. Congrats, now you get to drive a real truck, and might even get some horrifying venereal decease from banging a chubby truckstop chick.

Seriously though, i just don't get it. Who plays this stuff? :P

Do you really believe people play simulations to realize their dreams? Never in me life would I want to be a truck driver. Always on the road, long and boring drives. I can play a game like this for an hour, but I would never want to drive 12-16 hours a day, never be home and not have time to play other games, watch TV and so on.
For me this is a game like any other - I can do what I will never do in real life. Fly, shoot, race, or drive a truck. No difference.

I don't know about you guys, but i play videogames for escapism. Not much of that in a truck sim game. I play a shooter because it let's me be the hero for a little while, not because i want to be out shooting people...but a truck sim? It makes you feel like a trucker for an hour. What a rush!

What amazes me the most about this video, besides the fact it's just DRIVING. I had no idea french pop music was just as bad, if not a carbon copy of shitty American pop music... Somehow a chunk of my cultural understandings have been lost.
