By now you're probably well aware of the Gamersyde karma. Yesterday, after just being back from vacation, we tried to launch Gears of War: Ultimate Edition to prepare a few videos for this morning. Even though we did use the unlock code to launch the game early, it kept telling us to check the store page for the release date, which we didn't of course. After trying to download the whole game again to make sure there hadn't been an issue the first time, we were still stuck. This morning though, we had the curiosity to check the store page, and you know what? The game could be launched from there... Hence the rush to capture a few gameplay videos for you guys. Enjoy anyway!

The multiplayer runs at 60 FPS.
It's coming on PC, but we don't know when.
Watching some people walk-through the game takes me back. I remember the first time I popped the first Gears in, and I played co-op with my brother, we both looked at each other and said "this game is a heap of shit".
The turn around was pretty instant as soon as I discovered to play it like a new game and not a 3rd person Halo, thus making it my most played 3rd person shooter.
To this day, active reload still remains one of the far more impressive mechanics of last-gen, tainted a bit in Gears 3, but man it was awesome.
It's important to do videos at the same output as the console, as some games mess with frame pacing (30 FPS but badly doubled frames) so stutter can be seen. If we convert it to 30 this stutter can disappear (or be even worse) and thus not represent the real feel of the game.
EDIT: I gave more details here : http://www.gamersyde.com/forum_10_46834_1_en.html#...
