Grand Theft Auto V will be released later today and since the embargo is now officially lifted, we can finally propose a huge series of gameplay videos of this incredibly huge game. You've probably heard a lot about it already, some of you may even be playing the game as we speak, but Rockstar managed to deliver what will remain the pinnacle of open world games for a while. Don't hesitate to share your thoughts about this fifth installment.

Textures are seriously bad on mount chiliad. (Although the lighting is nice) And it doesn't look like there is anything at all of interest while travelling up it. But i liked the sign at the top. "Danger Bell's end" lol. Will give it a go once i get in from work tomorrow.

The videos are 60FPS, but I would assume the game runs at 30FPS?

Yes, but what you see in the videos is the actual framerate, no matter what the description says.

60 FPS because the console outputs 60 FPS, so it's exactly what the console renders :)

Did you install both discs, or just the mandatory disc 1?

Disc 1 files on the console's HDD, and Disc 2 installed on an external flash drive on USB.

This way it streams from both (and theorically faster than the DVD) and it's quiet.

I'm not gonna buy gta v on my ps3, i rather wait for the PC version.. cuz textures, FXAA, aim assist etc. are really horrible.

Finally a game which is FUN and not BORRING to play. Better then nowdays shity games with overpowered graphics. I think many will be disapointed by GTA V visuals which are great but could be(or were suposed to be) better.
For me Game of the YEAR or even better.

Lol, worse than SR IV? Yeah right... get a pair of glasses.

Also, you got to take the incredible scope and level of detail in consideration. Making a game this huge look good and run smoothly on current generation is an achievement.

SR4, really? This looks as shite as ever. And JC2 world is barren. Almost nothing happens, lot's of copy-pasted locations, buildings, no population at all. So it runs well and looks good, because there is no much complicated stuff there to stress the engine.

I'll comment on the game, after put some time on it later today. From the streams looks ace with tons of content. Haven't read any reviews, but the gamers impressions make me happy. Most of the people that find IV boring are enjoying this a ton.

tell me about it. skyrim/RDR/far cry 2 etc etc where boring as sin. skyrim was 200 hours for some people and it was one of the most pointless, unfun games i've played. bigger doesn't = better.
