finished it on PS3 several times already. after seeing its mindblowing ending, i definitely want more of this, and i have a feeling that the sequel will be more awesome..
Wow, it's been nearly 3 years since I played this game. They must have learnt from all their mistakes now. I can't wait to play LoS2. Loved Gabriel becoming Dracula!
I'd love to see these artists let loose on a decent adventure game. I found myself playing this tedious and horribly linear button masher purely to see the next gorgeous environment, which is not the ideal motivation.
Also, it had the worst camera in the history of video games.

I think that's a bit harsh. It starts out as a button masher because you have no combos, equipment and light/dark abilities. After you gain more of these things, the game becomes a real hack n slash.

This I agree with. You couldn't freely move the camera and they didn't learn from God of War how still-cams are done well.

Totally Agree about this. The game looks good very good but the camera... can't find the words to describe how i feel bad... But hope we're not going to have the same thing with the coming port of Enslaved: Odyssey to the West. and yes it's coming to steam... just wait for the official announcement.
and they seem to have fixed the horrible camera angles. That's the only complaint I had about the console version of this game. The graphics looks so crisp. enjoy you PC gamers.
Good riddance that LoS2 wont have shitty still-camera anymore, its the worse style you can go with in action adventure games plain simple.
I think I read that if you dont move the character the camera will pan out until you either move the camera manually or move the character.
Sure still-cameras are good for scale and environmental view thats great for sure, but during platforming it definitely can hinder your view completely.
From a combat view then its a mix bag, I personally dont like it, but it definitely give you a bigger view of the ground on where the enemies are so it has its advantages and disadvantages.

What? Did I miss something? Where you heard that?
I liked Enslaved very much, didnt get to finish it tough. Was very underrated IMO
Oh and yeah, the camera was the biggest negative about castlevania.

On some locations the fixed camera in combat was so bad that I sometimes couldnt see the enemy, even if it was a warg!!
