First 10 minutes PC Xbox 360 PS3

Although Resident Evil Online was never a success, Capcom wanted to prove everyone that their series could also do well in multiplayer. Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City is an attempt at that, and though it is not a total miss, it still fails to convince in several areas. First, forget single player, the AI is mostly terrible and you will need real allies to survive the missions. Then, the shooting mechanics have nothing really exciting, especially when faced to human enemies. It sure gets more fun against zombies, Lickers and Hunters but if you're not a big fan of the franchise, you will probably see Operation Raccoon City as a pale copy of Left4Dead. But enough with all the talking, time for a few videos of the single player mode.

Such a shame how the series has lost it's way since 4. Although I hear Revelations was a right step in a promising direction (enjoyed demo) no means of playing it now so.

Hmm after watching gameplay #5 I was left with the thought that it looks pretty good. Kinda made me want but then don't know how much class progression there is and how much the game would/will stick.

Actually, I pre-ordered it without giving it any credit or putting much hope into it. Luckily I have some good friends I enjoy playing online with no matter what game we playing and having fun in process. We're also a decent RE fans. It'll be delivered to me in a couple of weeks I guess (international shipping that is).
And, in fact, I don't care for reviews at all since I'm good enough at judging things I may like or not.

Good ideas, but badly executed.

Slant Six suck ass so this was to be expected ;P

No but in more seriousness i was hoping this turned out ok, i just wish Capcom would go back to their roots of it being more like the original ie puzzles, zombies and that sense of dread....

This right on the heels of the abortion known as Ninja Gaiden 3. Meanwhile Metal Gear Rising is now a Devil May Cry clone, Silent Hill is an Alan Wake clone... Oh yeah they also killed Metroid didn't they? I could go on and on. I'm this close to just not even paying attention to the current consoles

Downpour has nothing to do with Alan Wake. You could not be more wrong. But I mean, you'd have to actually play the game to realize that. :p

If this game sells well, then RE6 will eventually suffer. Giving the IP to Slant Six was a terrible terrible idea

It's not like Capcom were doing any better or would have. They've been sucking rectum for ages. They've destroyed Resident Evil as far as I'm concerned and I couldn't care less for RE6 when it finally lands. Absolute joke of a series now. So Much for using the power of the now almost ancient current gen consoles (which are still fairly adequate) to produce a survival horror game fitting of the gen and it's technology. Everything these days seems to be geared towards a Michael Bay style action film. They can fuck off!

how did they tarnish a already broken ip? the franchise has sucked since 3 onward, and this is SPIN OFF to resident evil, it can be what ever it wants, and everyone including myself have been enjoying it, but thanks for your shitty OPINION on something you have not played or like...
