DiRT Rally just arrived on Steam Early Access and here are two gameplay videos we captured for you guys. More will come as soon as possible but we didn't have much time to have something ready for today. Inside you'll find the list of the available cars and some info about the rig we used to capture these two videos. More content will be added to the game in the months to come, like new stages or new cars, so we'll keep you updated with new videos as often as possible.
Note: Because of a small mistake, the two videos are in French, I apologize but I'm new to this. :)
Update: Five videos added.

MrWhite: we'll need a bit of time before we can answer your questions. :)
Is this the following business model now? Selling games before all content is even made? This is worse than selling a game and then adding pre-order content, season passes, a shitload of DLC, which is the current business model. And the 'feedback from the community' excuse is BS. Since Dirt 2, the community has been asking for a return to real rally.
The gaming industry is so fucked up these days.
Oh, and thanks Drift.
I don't quite see where the recommended requirement is coming from, it doesn't look that impressive :(

And this is exactly how it should be.
All we need now is Toca Touring Car to make an appearance :)

There's nothing about the size of a company that should change if it makes sense to get feedback from actual customers. It's the direction that developers want to go.
Also? This game would NOT be made without this. Before you speak as if you are an expert on the industry, you should at least KNOW something about the particular topic (in this case the Dirt series and Codemasters) before spouting off.
The sooner people like you either get the hell out of the community or shed your naive "us vs them" mentality, the better.

I'd love to see some replay videos or camera-behind-the-car gameplay videos.

i'd love EA to do something similar for a traditional SSX. guage interest with a small "taster" that you have to pay for.
i'd hapily pay £10 for a traditional SSX that only had 3 tracks and 4 characters for instance.
what a lot of devs do, which i think is a mistake. is they try to guage the popularity of something by re-releasing an old version of it. (see abes oddysee or REmake) this is fine but most people already bought those games and don't want to buy them again but would buy a new game in that style. i'd much rather they go for this "pay upfront for a new game in a niche genre" even if it's just a taster, then either not make it at all.
at the end of the day we're never going to see a traditional resi, SSX or colin mcrae again in a full fledged, big budget retail release. but as a crowd funded or early access release it's entirely possible. case in point...i'm looking forward to receiving my amplitude code once it's finsihed, a game that would have otherwise never existed.

People wanted Codemasters to make a proper rally game. Now they can actually tell Codemasters how to make the game. I do not think that is bad.
The final game will be a lot more expensive anyway, and you will get all future content for free if you buy early access. I am definitely thinking about it.
