Until we figure out which version of Dying Light we want to show you tonight, here are a few gameplay videos of Techland's new title on Playstation 4. Some passages may be similar to what we showed on PC yesterday, but we've added a few more sequences as well. Enjoy!

I watch pure gameplays videos of ANY game I plan to buy on Gamersyde before making my final decision and it has helped me a TON over the last couple of years.
Keep up the great work and post those PS4, XB1 and PC raw footage.
Understandable, considering how weak the console CPUs are.

This was a big issue on Dead Island as well. I got absolutely tired after 2-3 hours and never booted that game again.
Nope, he means CPU and he is right - these are low performance low clocked mobile/tablet CPUs. Modern intel CPUs achieve clock of over 4GHz with higher performance per clock than AMD's CPUs, so 1.7GHz is a laughable clock by today's standards. In some respects these CPUs are slower than CPUs in last gen consoles!

GPUs are also weak, of course, but compared to moderns PCs the CPUs are even weaker. Only 6 cores are available to devs, but they can't even fully utilize them.
If your saying the CPU's are worse in the new consoles than last gen consoles then thats just fucking insane and not something i have heard before.

Looks at how AMD CPUs are performing in PC games compared to Intel, and divide that by 2 or sometimes even 3. Current-gen CPUs are just awful.
Dying Light is CPU-bound. View Distance has pretty much no effect on GPU usage, it mostly affects the CPU. This explains why they had to go with 30 FPS, even though they were targeting 60 FPS before.

Draw distance however isnt solely going to affect CPU and not GPU, but what would be holding back the draw distance in this case, wouldnt be the GPU...it would be the CPU.
They really are crappy. 1.7GHz is very, very low...no matter how you program for it. Had MS gone with an intel chip, it would blow the PS4 out of the water in terms of performance in regards to the CPU, and vice versa w/ the PS4.
I really dont understand why Sony AND Microsoft decided to go with AMD. Maybe since they do CPU/GPU now that ATI is gone, but either way, the parts they could have went with from an Intel/nVidia combo would have been much, much better IMO.

Obviously they make money this time. But that seems to be the worst thing. Last gen when GT5P came it was unlike other racers going for 16cars 16fps at 1080P. Although Forza finally managed to get 16 cars online too in SP most time it has less cars on track. Others still had 8 and F1, nascar obviously more in 30fps. I think this gen looking at current games I doubt number of cars will be increased to 24 simply because of cpu
Also, what's the netcode like? Was terrible in DI on ps3. Easy to get in a game with mates? lag free? One thing I remember too from DI is i'm pretty sure the enemies wouldnt scale to individual skill levels? (like Destiny doesnt)...so if you joined a mates game and they're several lvls above you all the zombies would be to their lvl rather than your own. This still the case?
So I guess we are too confident to say that we've achieved 60fps this gen
