Video Wii U

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker will be released before the end of 2014 in North America but us Europeans will have to wait until January 2 2015, just like in the old days. This new title is a pleasant mix between a platformer and a puzzle game which requires to use the camera much like in FEZ. As it is often the case with Nintendo's franchises, the gamepad is smartly used, bringing something rather new to the overall experience. Replaying the different puzzles is also quite enjoyable if you're the collector type and you want to get all the stars. Check out our videos taken from the first 8 levels.

It's almost easy to overlook Mario Kart's amazing DLC :) Also: Nintendo proves that you can care about performance on any hardware. And even deliver finished games that don't require day-one patches to even function.

Overlook is the keyword. Nintendo puts out quality games (for the most part) but gets overlooked because their hardware update cycle is out of turn and because the fanboy fighting concentrates on Sony vs. Microsoft. That situation doesn't leave room in the spotlight on a publisher like N that puts out games and hardware that work well and don't generate much bad press and reasons for people to polarize about. Everyone hates EA and Ubisoft and talks about it. Nintendo gets talked about rarely, in comparison.
