If you're old enough, you must have played Kick Off back in the days, and you must have found it pretty hard because of its challenging control scheme. Chances also are that you preferred Sensible Soccer, which was our case actually. We know Dino Dini wouldn't be too happy to read this, but we just had more fun with Jon Hare's game, even though it was merely a slightly modified version of the original concept. Dino Dini's Kick Off Revival is back this week on PS4 for a 6 months exclusivity and in our opinion, it's going to have a hard time convincing old and young players alike. Well, unless they have a lot more patience than we do that is. The gameplay video inside should prove how complicated the game still is, which is good news of course as it is faithful to the original title. The question is, is there still a place for such takes on football today? Quite honestly, we don't know.

I don't know why anybody is doing a proper arcade football game, like Virtua Striker for example. I can't be the only one who enjoys football games but sucks at them.
This remake came out from nowhere, I was actually hoping for a second... I didn't remember it was even harder than today's games.
Buy it now!!
Dino Dini is a true Legend! He managed to transfer a legendary 2d game to 3d and make it as good!!
I can't stop playing it!!! OMG I'm 13 again!!!
It appears to handle closely to the original just looking at the video so I may keep an eye on this. I wonder if it still has a referee choice which was always hilarious if you chose Screech
