GSY Video PC PS4 Xbox One

Unreal Engine 4 is not always easy to game, especially on consoles, and the Xbox One X version of Assetto Corsa Competizione is living proof of that. For some reason, the game's frame rate isn't locked at 30 so it varies just above, making the whole experience very stuttery. We have also seen what we believe are frame pacing issues, which add to the overall impression that the game regularly stutters. It's a shame really, because the developers at Kuni Simulazione have proven they are very capable when it comes to creating a very realistic physics engine. It's true the PC version isn't perfectly optimized either, but we were hoping for something much more stable on Xbox One X, even more so as it seems that the PS4 and PS4 Pro versions actually run smoother overall. To make matters worse, wheel implementation is not fully convincing on Microsoft's console, while it works well on Sony's and on PC obviously (where it's actually one of the best, if not the best). Let's hope the dev team can fix the most serious performance issues real soon so everyone can enjoy this excellent sim racer.

Unreal Engine's problem is the same as its always been with consoles, weak CPU's being unable to stream in the game assets quick enough to stop stuttering.

It's a fundamental design flaw of the Unreal engine, even on PC's with massively more powerful CPU's & SSD's, Unreal Engine based games can still have stuttering, when streaming in new assets.

..probably why Epic are breathing a huge sigh of relief for the new consoles & their custom SSD's, otherwise we'd probably have another 6-7yrs of stuttering Unreal Engine games.

Why are you giving the developers a pass here?  Part of developing a game is choosing the right engine that will deliver the experience you want.  If they can't develop theirs then it is a budget problem and it is a problem they should own up to.

How exactly are we giving them a pass? We've shown the technical issues in analysis videos, we mention the problems, what else should we do? People bought the game regarless of its issues because they wanted to play it despite its flaws, so is it not fair to hope the devs can fix the framerate issues for the sake of the buyers? :)

The way I read it you are basically giving them an excuse (that pesky Unreal Engine!).  Why even mention it is my point, just mention the game's technical flaws.  I had written some exaggerated analogies but left them out.

Then maybe you're not reading as you should. They chose UE4, which was a mistake, how can it be an excuse?
