If by that you mean the ghosting effect, yes we have it.

As for the steering assistance, the PS4 videos don't resort to it, so no pussies here. ;p

That being said, with a controller it's really sensitive to use the sim steering mode. We got the PS4 version in the morning yesterday, a friend of mine stopped by with his XB1 copy at 4 p.m. (and left at 7), no real time to get a hang of it after 3 years playing the game with a wheel on PC. :)

I thought you were talking about motion blur being the bug itself, which I tend to agree on, even on better implementations thereof. :)
I thought it was their deliberate cheap implementation of motion blur, blending two frames. How can a bug like that make it to the release version?!

I do not really like any kind of temporal antialising in any game so far, but its implementation in this game is a true joke. In Far Cry 4 PS4/XBOne for instance, you can clearly see the ghosting between frames but at least it is limited to the edges of the objects where the aliasing is subject to appear, not to the entire screen as it happens in PCars.

Maybe I am getting too old to understand the latest rendering tech... or maybe the problem is that sometimes things without sense are sold as tech.

Anyway great game, I was waiting for something like this to appear on PS4. And of course thanks guys for the videos.

Apparently the framerate really struggles when racing in the rain...didn't notice any obvious drops in those vids though, is it noticable when playing?

I'd assume its more noticable as increased input lag more then visual stutters.

or maybe with certain camera views...like outside the car. I always play racing games 'incar' view like the vid...why I never picked up Grid 2 (on reflection probably a good thing)

Yeah it's defo noticeable, PS4 just does not have the power to do the weather and 20-40 cars at the same time. Still it's bloody great fun even with the blurring, screen tearing and framedrops.

On the PC the framerate drops in the storms when the reflections are really at play - turning the reflection quality down really cures this, and instead of having cars at ultra having them at high is fine. Its very hard to tell the difference when racing but the framerate is much better.

PS I have a 4790k, 780ti OC'd, and get around 80-110fps during normal gameplay.

20 cars is a good enough. But they simply could not optimize it. I wonder how GT7 will turn out. From the videos above it looks good though.

I still enjoy GT6 and GTA round 2 at 7:30 time in brand hatch looks really great too. They need to improve the racing element. AS mostly on GT it you vs the track than the AI. I am hearing lots of complain about the AI in Pcars. Difficult at even 70%. Also the controls are not good and twitchy with the controller and some cars are un-driveable ?. The technical issues is something I expected. Hopefully they can fix most of them via patch soon.

Well it is a proper sim so you would not expect the controls to be perfect with a control pad as it's built around the wheel and pedals, On the wheel it's amazing with incredible force feedback :)

Im currently running 70% AI and it's very good 60% was too easy for me and 70 right now is the sweet spot, It is light years ahead of GT's AI

Well, just watched the DF analysis of PS4 and X1 and both versions run like shit so ill pass. Devs should have just made it a PC exclusive to be honest. Gonna be Forza 6 to give me my next racing fix for this year.
