Video PC Xbox 360 PS3

Konami finally seems to have realized how far behind the PES series had been lately compared to FIFA and released these images and this long video showing a lot of the new functionalities and fixes in PES 2011.

I've gotta say, this does look significantly improved. The animations are far, far less robotic, and resemble something a lot more realistic. As a result, the game seems to be a heck of a lot more fluid and dynamic, with less of this 'on-rails' passing that the series had strayed towards on this generation of consoles.

Mind you, I still don't think it's up to the level of FIFA in terms of animations and fluidity.

WTF is this Pic showing?

Animations look a lot better than in older PES-Titles but Shooting still looks a bit strange. Lets hope it plays well like PES 6 otherwise EA will get my Money.

The individual animations look better but the stutter between them makes it look very unrealistic. The dribbling at 3:35 is also utterly ridiculous. The kinematics system used by FIFA may not be perfect but it is a damn sight nearer to reality than how PES does it.

It looks like an improvement, but it still looks poor. I hate the BGM on the video.

Also, they show Marcos Angeleri as an Estudiantes player (the lad with long hair in the red and white kit about 5 mins in), when he's agreed to sign for Sunderland pending a passport.

With it being Konami i'd guess that's the awesome Nemesis!

Looks freakin' great! Fifa has gotten better, but I still prefer the gameplay of PES. I can see why people like Fifa, but it is just a preference to me and this really looks like the improvement we have all been waiting for from the franchise. Thanks for the video!

Talk about being technologically left behind. The faces remind me of Silence of the Lambs where Hannibal Lecter kills the paramedic, cuts his face off and sticks it over his own face to disguise himself and escape, watching that video makes me think there's 22 serial killers running around with the faces of Ronaldo, Messi et al sliced off and stuck over their own faces.

I think it looks incredible! Have been with FIFA for the past couple of years but this time it'll be a tough choice!

Will try it next month at GamesCon. Hope it delivers but I'm quite pessimistic. And Wow! This vid has to be a pain to watch if you are not into football games at all.
Bad presentation and annoying upbeat techno. The PES trademarks the PES 5/6 fans have been missing :D

Looks improved, but will not fall for it. FIFA 11 is just too good to pass up, I think PES is now a thing of the past, and I hardly see a way for them to get back up.

With all the licenses held by FIFA, and how good the gameplay is now, there is simply no room to compete.

I have to agree. It'll be a lot closer than it has been in recent years, but there's essentially only going to be one winner.

Yawn, are people still falling for this? Already forgotten the horrible attempts of online play? Can't wait for FIFA11.
