Microsoft released the TV-ad for Project Gotham Racing 3 we captured some days ago, in direct-feed quality. It's of course available in 30 sec and 60 sec versions, but the 30-version doesn't have anything the 60 don't.
oh, thanks god this is only a movie!!!
plaese dont speak about AA!

TX:In the specs, it is always mentioned 4X MSAA, but can developers choose a higher order anti-aliasing for their games?
Todd Holmdahl: The hardware supports up to 4X MSAA. However, developers can perform supersampling and hence render to a larger frame buffer as an alternative. This would be done in software. An important thing to understand is that most games end up turning anti-aliasing off due to the performance penalties from standard architectures. With Xbox 360 we designed the GPU from the ground up so that enabling anti-aliasing would not create any performance hit for developers.

EDIT: OH yeah do you know if those rumors that the final build of this game is running at 1024x600 rather than 720p and only 2xaa rather than 4x?
It could be true. A 1024x600 framebuffer with 2x FSAA will fit perfectly in the 10 MB of memory of the GPU, and would certainly look better than 1280x720 without FSAA.
1280x720 with FSAA requires to use tile rendering, something that may have been difficult to implement for launch titles I guess.
Cool, I am not really mad about it unlike other people around the net, only thing that bothers me is if they are already having trouble meeting framerates at launch, what does that mean about future titles. The xbox was extremely scalable and kept up graphics wise for several years with inferior hardware than PCs. Hopefully this is just a problem with optimization of the engine since its a new console and all.
I know that the game runs at 30fps, so I think all the anti-aliasing and everything should be turned on. I honestly don't understand how this game can't run at a smooth 60fps with all that turned on. I know it's a launch title but come on...the 360 has enough power under the hood for that.
I'm gonna quote that post, Critx, everywhere I go. The world will know that Critx can't understand why it can't run at a smooth 60fps with "all that turned on", and that it being a launch title doesn't matter.

Think of me as a prophet in that sense.
lmfao!! That made my day dude...
Prophet Simun...okay, its a launch title so maybe it has an excuse..i'll give you that. But if we see this happening oh lets say...a year or two from now, then there might be a little reason for concern.
But I really do think all racing games should run at 60fps...

Also dosent xbox360 use MSAA (Multi Sample Antialiase) instead of FSAA (Full Scene Antialiasing). At least everything I read says 4x MSAA.
