Gran Turismo Sport may have been - unsurprisingly - delayed, it is still present at Paris Games Week, which allowed guts_o to record some 1080p/60fps off-screen footage of the game on the iconic Nürburgring.

it'll sell better than forza and Pcars combined, i don't think you need to worry.
Thats the problem, it will, and IMO its still the same as several iterations ago.
I used to be a huge GT fan up until around gt4/5, then the experience just did not seem to change. The handling model feels flat, and the sounds are definitely the worst part of the series (Sounds are one of the absolute most important things to provide an immersive driving experience).
its such a shame, but I am still keeping my fingers crossed that I will find more than I anticipate with this.

You're far from the only person with that opinion. Forza is one of the few titles that made me wish I had a Xone but it appears proper forza's will now be coming to the PC. I stopped bothering with GT after its 4th iteration.
Insane development times for really nothing to show for. I thought maybe the new X86 architecture of PS4 would force them to throw out their 10 year old model out the window and refresh the series but I think GT 'sport' just goes to show how irrelevant PD is in the racing scene any more.

Now this game will release in something like 1 or 2 months from Forza7 and Pcars2. So it will interesting to see what happens. Racing games sales are going down since for past 4yrs or so.

We'll see how true that is when this releases. GT6 still sold over 5 million copies and launched AFTER the ps4 came out with no current gen port. Its all well and good claiming the genre is dying, but if one still manages to sell gangbusters its more a case of certain franchises dying.

I dont care about sales i care about how good it turns out which the last 2 were hugely disappointing and this is following down the same path. Sure it might sell more than PC or AC but that doesnt mean it's better than those two far far from it.
Im guessing your just a Sony fanboy though with that stupid comment about sales. I see people saying the same shit about how COD is the best shooter because it sells more! JUST NO!

Forza didn't have three quarters of the features nor half the features until XboxOne Forza...
How can people make credible arguments against Gran Turismo when they seem to NOT really have played the game to know that.

I think GTS will do well to hit 5million now. Forza6 has not even hit 2million according vgcharts and Forza5 released on same time as GT6 has not reached 2.5million as a launch game for Xbone. So with more competition and genre dying.

i don't think it's about competition. forza has been there for a long time now and it hasn't had much of an effect in the way of sales for GT. hell, despite forza being around even the crappy GT prologue demo's outsell it. it's about brand recognition. forza is still a nobody franchise compared to GT. GT literally sells because it's GT.
as for this game, i'm honestly looking forward to GT sport because it has a sense of focus the last few games haven't had. where they're trying to cater to everyone. and have every car. it muddies the vision imo. is there novelty factor in being able to drive a moon buggy...on the moon? yeah. is it really necessary? not really. it's just stuff for the sake of stuff.
By the way Forza is another series on the downward slope, Has been since 5 which was ok no where near as bad as GT5 or 6 but seamed to of lost some magic after catering towards the casuals more and more and a disgustingly expensive DLC policy.
Again you guys measure quality with sales and that is the last thing you's should be doing.
which series is better is debatable though. you will find just as many people who prefer GT as those who prefer forza, both in regards to visuals and driving model. i know i prefer GT with a wheel over forza. forza has always felt too arcadey to me and way too forgiving... so it's ultimately a pointless debate.
however sales are sales.. a franchise isn't going to go anywhere if it sells well, and if we're talking about the decline in popularity of racers sales obviously come into the discussion.
we saw a downward curve on GT6 because sony were stupid. it should have been cross gen at the least, PS4 exclusive at most. it would have sold PS4's and would have had the sales typically associated with the franchise. it still sold better than forza 5 and 6 combined though, so it's hardly a failure in regards to the genre.
now, if GT sport performs equally "averagely" for a GT game and doesn't manage 5 million, then i think we can accept the genre is dying.
The genre is certainly not dying we have had a huge boom in Sim racers, Pcars was great, AC was great (both put GT & Forza to shame) and Dirt Rally was great. The genre that seems to be dying is arcade racers. This gen Forza Horizon is the only amazing arcade racer that i can think of and i love them just as much as the sims :(
I disagree. Having more sims than arcade game is a worrying thing and a bad indication on racing games. AC, Pcars are not making new customers either and just cashing on more $ from console market. Forza and GT sales have done by 50%. If Forza seels 4-5million it is now barely hitting 2 and GT from 10million has come down to 5million.
GTS needs to be really good in SP mode as well, that is my biggest worr if it is too focused on online it may not even hit 5million.
Might be bad for you but it's certainly not bad for sim enthusiasts, PCars selling over 2 million is an insane amount for a proper sim and most likely the biggest sales ever for a sim most of which were on consoles. Sims are a niche market they will never be able to compete with GT or even the Forza series when it comes to sales and i very much doubt anyone expects them to.
