I have a feeling it's a slightly more content rich "prologue" with greater ties to the world of motorsport. A bit like their GT academy demo's they put out? Beta early next year though so not long to wait to find out.

One of these days it'll be a racing game. For now it's a pretty cinematic.

wow Polyphony is alive lol

Didn't show much, I sincerely hope that FIA badge actually means something and puts some serious licensed racing cars and races on the roster. And hopefully this is not another paid demo, even if there are people that would pay full price for some shit like that.

Yeah, I'm also a little confused, the only two things I'm sure about it: it's a game, and they'll hold some championship cups (in game?) with FIA.

wonder why they didn't call it GT7. Most likely because it's a 30€ Prologue-like product.

I believe most of it was in-engine since it looks like the one in GT6 & you can see some aliasing.

It looks to be so - anything thats not GT7 imo is a paid demo, like the prologues.

wow, you put a lot of emphasis on a name.

if this offers the content you would expect from GT, but it's called GT sport, it'd consider that a full game. whether that's what it is or not, no-one knows as of yet.

but by your logic forza horizon is a paid demo? spin-offs can exist you know...hell, driveclub was going to be associated with GT at one point.

Should of showed more releasing so little does PD no favours.

I hope they leave out the PS1 & PS2 car models this time round.

It took PD 5 years to go from GT4 to GT5. Everything in between was a bunch of crap. I hope this is not more of that, and yes the name matters because PD has never done a true spin off series, they've only provided content that was later on put in the true sequel in a more refined way.

Unfortunately, from what we have to go by (a name), this will probably be more prologue type of crap.

Anyways, for the true sequel, I do expect for them to finally have some decent engine sounds (no more vacuum recordings please) and decent impact physics, and decent AI.
