it looks awesome, and i like how they use direct gameplay screens,

instead of using bullshots screens like Forza 3.

S2k pwns

These screens seem to be a bit more reasonable than the past bullshots they've been giving out.

You must have missed the last few batches as they were all but bullshots.

Game looks great in motion. I'm actually, cautiously, looking forward to this!

How about the 60Fps Gameplay Videos? Also Bullshots?

Shut up... this game has NOTHING on Forza. Give credit where it's due.

I bet nobody would care about this anymore if it wasn't for the naysayers trying to find competition to Turn 10 racer.

It's true though. Forza's screens aren't representative of 90% of what the game will look like, and throw peoples expectations out of wack. Same goes for GT5 screens. These however, are reasonable.

So how are these things less bullshots than the FM shots? Because it looks worse than FM they are automatically gameplay shots?

I'm sure those shots are using some extra AA, in which case they are "bullshots".

Lebato, that must be some crappy extra AA they're using then.

Anyhow, if they can make the franchise fun again, I'm in!

Oh god, Im in heaven. Forza 3 on top and Shift under. Its like a lesbian full-body massage scene with Gemma Atkinson and Keeley Hazell.

Now, if Gamersyde could post some news about Gran Turismo 5, so Lucy Pinder can join in!

tbh, i'm looking forward to this. By the way, these screens look like your normal framebuffer screens.

These may not look as good as FM3's bullshot but I take this and 16 car grid anyday over the overwrought but still plastic lookin cars in FM3. But that's just me.

Troll if you ever played Forza 2 you'd know that it aint bullshots.
Secondly, this game could be interesting. But idc about screenshots, because its a Need For Speed game..... If the physics havent been totally revamped, and their entire vision for their franchize, im not interested.
And not revamped like "look nfs pro street haz burnouts", i mean revamped.

That is gameplay for you? - Sure looks like replay to me: No HUD and with these camera positions it is surely not playable.

Anyway I think it looks nice. There is nothing wrong about having not über post processing effects for replays since I usually do not watch them anyway.
I just hope that the game runs smooth, that is basically my only concern with Shift.

Indeed!

I don't see why everyone has to directly compare all car games as if they where the same. FM3 has much different aims to GT5 which has different aims to NFS:SHIFT. I know NFS:S isn't the most realistic looking, but it has arcade bling visuals with supposedly hardcore physics, it is intriguing to see how it 'works'..
People don't seem so hellbent on directly comparing FPS's with such vigor..

There seems plenty to enjoy about them all

Probably the PC version. You can achieve really high AA and even if the performance hit may be huge on most PCs, you can get great in-game screenshots.

I feel sorry for Shift, actually. It's gonna get lost in the BS GT vs FM3 debate.
I'm really diggin' what they are doing with the feel of this game. It has such a great, visceral feel to it. It's nice to see developers who realise that it doesn't have to feel completely sterile to be a sim. In fact the stuff they do with the camera in the cockpit view certainly makes it seem more immersive than GT or Forza...

Hold on a second. What's this "bullshot" lark people keep banging on about? Now, I'm not a FM fanboy or anything because I've never actually played a FM game in my life, but just because a game is boasting 10 times the poly count that most other car related games are, and has a really clean look to it, and suppports a really nice photo mode where things are taken from the actual game and sharpened up somewhat, it doesn't mean that screenshots posted by T10 are doctored in any way. They are all representative of how that game ACTUALLY LOOKS, see! NFSS looks nice. It looks better than nice. But face the facts: FM3's detail of cars blows it clean out of the water.

So you prefer car count and less "plastic" looking (love how that caught on) cars over the best racing physics in the business???

Wow...just wow. Now i know why it is so easy to sell people stuff like Axe body spray and crap products of the like...
