Dragon’s Dogma 2 probably shipped a bit too early for its own good, which is why it has so many performance issues on PC and consoles. The first update merely added a few options, like the possibility to start a new game (beware though, as they haven't included several save slots yet). Console players can also deactivate ray tracing (we don't recommend it though as the visual loss is high) or motion blur. The best new feature is that the framerate can now be locked at 30 fps, which is what we took to the test in our new FPS analysis video of the Xbox Series X version.

Yet Capcom released the game anyway without the 30fps lock, just to add it days later. Unfortunately, the smart rule for AAA games still applies to Dragon's Dogma 2 - wait months for the game to be fixed and then buy a much better product for much cheaper.
