Today is a great day for Deus Ex fans. Not only do we have direct feed videos of the PS4 preview build of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided we captured with our own equipment, but guts_o also answers all our questions after playing the game for about 8 hours. Looks like it uses sharpen filter excessively, much like The Witcher 2? I wonder if that will be toggleable in PC version.

Doesn't look very good graphically. Look at her hair in "Exploration part 1" - looks straight out horrible actually.
But hey, hopefully the rest of the game is good.

looks about a billion times better than the last game visually, and that game still managed to be amazing. this could quite easily be a GOTY contender.

I wouldn't say I'm "obsessed", just pointed it out just because it was such a obvious detail.
But, you know, it would make perfect sense to expect detailed character faces and hair in a genre that revolves around characters, dialogue etc...

I think the screens are using some kind of HDR setting. the lighting and all of the subtle details are being over exposed. Newer TVs have been using this feature for a long time now.

After all these years facial animations still look horrible even in triple A games. Overall it looks good though.

The lip synchronization is terrible.

Compared to Uncharted or Tombraider it's a shame. Witcher 3 has much better lip-syn too, and that game has at least the same amount of text.

That's so anyoing, because the game fokus on conversations - and these massive glitches affact the atmosphere dramatically!

Televisions have had this "feature" since we had to move the analogue antenna around to get a visible picture, which was usually fuzzy due to lack of contrast. It reduces the actual detail by obfuscating fine detail and replacing it with a highly contrasted halo. A relic from worse times, a blunt weapon to cut a souffle, very unsophisticated and vulgar.

True that, but considering the amounts of dialogue, i'd say it's even unfair to compare this to TR or Uncharted (those don't hold even one-tenth of the dialogue Witcher 3 or Deus Ex have). And wether Witcher 3 has better lip sync or not is totally subjective (I think it looks just as bad). But again... this is just as pointles as debating the hair or like everyone circle jerking over car detail in a race sim while the star in a race sim is cleary the race track and not the fucking car.

I don't care about the hair or the not perfect lip sync. The environment and art direction are what's important to me, and both are amazing. Also, at least the heads now have the right size this time. Can't f***g wait!!
