The second (and last) downloadable episode of Alan Wake will soon be available to all on Xbox Live as the release date has just been revealed. On October 12, you will be able to spend a bit more time with the now famous writer, and it will only cost you 560 Microsoft points. Needless to say it is a very small price to pay to enjoy some more psychological-thriller action. Images and trailer inside, and remember that it is not a lake, it's an ocean.

they need to take the awesomely fast and fluid cotnrol scheme used in the game, and apply it to something...well, better. i'd love a new resident evil to control like this.

Obviously they thought they'd be milking this throughout the year..i know they definatly planned more than 2 episodes. Makes me wonder just how complete the story will be...and if we'll ever see an Alan Wake 2.
..... yet half way through i found myself needing new underwear because my torch ran out of batteries :|
atmosphere in this game is perfect, so is the voice acting and character expressions. This was a game i forgot about until release, and ive kept it ever since.
For such a short game, its embedded in my mind as a great original!
@SangHee So your saying that everything in life you have gone for even though a friend might of said it's tripe or not worth buying? That's why we come to forums to see what others feel or think about something be it a new album to the latest Hollywood film ;)
if you're looking for a silent hill-like experience, alan wake really isnt it. it's not scary in the slightest, doesnt have any puzzles, no real boss battles worth mentioning, ammo is thrown at you left right and centre so tension is lacking. it's a thriller that plays like a third person shooter. if that sounds good to you, go for it, it's very cheap afterall. i bought it full price, and by the 3rd hour of the 8 hour compaign i'd gotten sick of doing the same thing over and over. the lack of enemy variety didnt help matters. nor did the uninspired and repetative way it sets up encounters. for the price tho it's probably worth trying out. i'd be interested to see what they did for a sequel, and to see what the hell is going on story wise, but im not sure if they're doing one since the first game didnt do all that well??
Mass Effects facial animations are not as good as the animations in Uncharted, but they are for example much better than the facial animations in Assassins Creed 2....

haha when i was playing this a friend of mine would b over and id b like you wanna play? and hed always just b like no id rather just watch
Maybe have Wake trying to investigate whats been happening in the town for the first chapter or 2 and then have his wife go missing and just carry on from there.
Still the game gets a lot of unfair hate. Name me one game thats NOT repetative?
Cant wait for this and i really hope we get a AW2 in a year or so. Just advertise it next time MS.
