Great beta, love the new MP.

I will buy this game for sure.

I like the motion blur too, but they really have to tone that that shitty camera bobbing, gives me headaches.

You guys talk about Motion Blur like it is something really hard to achieve I mean it looks alright but something like I dont know Dinamic Lighting or 60fps are things more awesome to hype.

Don't hate playa!!

I know what not to hype. shitty engine downgrades as times goes on and hardware stalling keeps visuals back. HD to a sub-HD sequel is rather pathetic of Insomniac.

I don't think MP is going to be any good but getting it for sure for SP, co-op mode. The game is going to be pretty good.

Good motion blur is hard to achieve. it's why i can count the games with good implimentation on one hand. i'd rather have a game run at a solid 30fps with some great, cgi quality motion blur, then a game run at 60fps and look static and lifeless *cough* rage.

I dunno. 60 fps is overatted imo. Of all the games this gen i probably enjoy the 99.99 % of games that run at 30 fps more then the 0.01% that run at 60fps. It really isnt vital to the experience imo.

I would take a good 60fps over clusterfuck with super awesome sexy glitter graphics and let the game run slow (Killzone).

Smooth and fluid framerate/good graphics>>>>>>super high graphics/meh framerate

Strange thing about the beta: the game has already gone gold. Why do they call it a beta?
Marketing.. they want people to feel like they're getting a peak behind the curtain.

Devs definitely put the emphasis on graphics over performance. I actually liked BF3 on medium more because I could lock down 60fps and it still looked awesome.

Well they shouldn't go "over the top" (lol) with graphics and make the framerate bad, unless its locked at 30fps or higher.

Killzone games was annoying for me because not only was the game choppy now and then, but having a weighty feel to movement just added more headaches to me.

Now Resistance 3 has only one problem I cant stand, its the shakey camera bobbing, even my sister hated it as soon as she sprinted.
It doesnt add anything to the experience when they do that, it will just annoy people.

Nothing wrong with that to be honest and hell you have your reasons and valid ones.

Of course I think you are way wrong and out of your mind but thats just me.

60fps>>>> Everything.

Framerate alone is definitely not something to get excited over. If it's attached to a good game, sure.

Well I mean of course it has to be attached to a game and be a good one at that, but when I said that Im talking to good games IMO like CoD games(for all the hate they get they are good IMO), Bayonetta, Ninja Gaiden games(Black, NG2 the majority of time lol), the id Software 60fps games etc.

I sure hope Rage will be awesome.

Oh, I definitely think it makes every game better when it's an option. Given control over graphics, I always turn them down to achieve a better clip.. unless it's some single player thing.. it certainly doesn't matter as much in ever game.

lol Killzone is fine people will never stop complaining. I think COD should suit you best though. MW3 is definitely going to most popular shooter inspite of all BF3 hype.

Killzone

I cant stand weighty and clunky feel when I move in a shooter, and I cant stand huge maps with vehicles (hence why i dont like BF at all).

I am a more of a run-and-gun, fast and intense rusher, so CoD is my type.

I tried my best to like Killzone 3 but i just couldnt, love the art, music, story, world in general, but man it got ruined for me because of that.
Atleast in MP, in SP its fine.

The latest videos they have show are all good. 30fps is fine but yeah MW3 and Rage will obviously be much better MW3 especially is much fast based game comapred to other shooters

In a recent coop Rage video it looked as fast as MW games.

Thats what you get with the good ol 60fps baby!!

The single player of R3 looks a lot better than the previous two. A whole lot more believable than the b-movie rubbish Insomniac have served up with those games- especially that really stupid part where you get to fire rockets at Godzilla, and even then only when the game allows it. It's like the team has learned how to put stuff together better this time in the form of well realised characters, and their emphasis on an enemy you don't just laugh at now. I could actually be interested enough to get a PS3 even

Multiplayer looks decent too but wont unfortunately attract much attention i doubt

Look. I have been a fan of this series since the PS3 launch, but these textures look awful. What the hell happened? Anyone playing the beta, please tell me the textures in the game do not look this bad.

EDIT - Scratch what I said before. On a second run through the video, it is not the textures that are the problem. The freaking motion blur has been turned up so insanely, God awfully high, that you can't see any of the textures through it.

I don't normally have any problem with motion blur being used in a game, but this is ridiculous. Insomniac seriously needs to tone down that motion blur to a more appreciable level, or turn it off altogether.
