Sony's Playstation Experience event in London was the opportunity for developers to show some new stuff of their PS3 games. Let's start with some fresh news screens of Resistance 3 while we look for the trailer in a descent quality.

After the more recent gameplay trailer I cannot wait to see all this in motion. Looks like they were using some nice motion blur techniques to give it a cool look and feel.
Been a decent series so far, hope this one tops the last two, glad to see the darker tone return :D
good to see it's gone back to the sepia tone of R1. R2 looked like it was set yesterday it was so colourfull and clean looking. this actually looks like the time frame it's set in. looking forward to it. split screen co-op FTW (seems sony is really focusing on that this year)

Why? The two Sony FPS franchises are inherently depressing, with Killzone 2 and Resistance 2 having some of the most depressing endings possible for a shooter. The color scheme fits that type of game and I wouldn't want them to change it.
And like Sath said, there is Uncharted for your color needs (and it's also a much, much cheerier place than Resistance or Killzone).
Wow. This will be the only consolee FPS game coming out in the same league as KZ3 graphically it seems. I think KZ3 has the edge right now but insomniac has a long way to go before it's release. Shame Crytek didn't deliver on their promises with the Crysis 2 demo - doesn't even look better than KZ2. Anyway, can't wait for this!

As long as this is just one scene, then the color scheme is fine. If the whole game is brown and looks like I am fighting in a dust storm, I will be a little disappointed. I got my fill of the dust bowl setting in FO3 and New Vegas.
It doesn't have to be as colorful as UC2, but it seems every shooter feels the need to pick one color to be THE color. Killzone, Gears, hell even the new Deus Ex artists have said they are focusing on gold and black as THE colors. I realize the importance of game's art direction, but let's try something other than muted earth tones...

the reveal footage was colorful but yea this could be hit or miss right now it looks like a miss (from the 4 min gameplay video)
Bad voice acting, bad sound design, bad AI, the weapons feel weak....environmental design is awesome, obviously they took a note or two from Bad Company 2 there but that's about it. Its an Insomniac game so approach with caution :P

yeah terrible move by Microsoft on shunning first party development. They let Bungie go, they let Bioware go, they let Bizarre go, they let the FF guy go...just terrible decisions all around and lets not even get started on the PC front...argh yeah I don't really like Microsoft (except for their OS's)
