Oh god her hair in that Jeep is hilarious. Jank animations inbound too. And terrible voice acting. And aside from still looking linear for a "tomb" I'm definitely going to play in. Might mute the voice acting though.

Her hair isnt perfect, but i think that still look better than any hair i ever seen in a video game or a real time scene.

I really hope this one has better story, writing and acting than the previous game. Lara was decent but they side characters were terrible. To me that was the main reason it didnt compete fot GOTY in 2013.

The game graphically looks incredible. Only the shadows, some textures and aliassing don't look as good as everything else. Very impressive for Xbox one though, i can wait see how it looks maxed out on pc.

More gameplay ? Come on, Microsoft, I have already ordered this. Not interested in seeing even more gameplay, especially just after GC video and previous videos. It will spoil the fun on release. Extra screenshots, no problem.

No this looks absolutely amazing. I really liked the water effects at the end, i don't know if it was physics based or all pre-calculated stuff. but just seeing the particles and smoothness of the flow, looked very intense and believable. And then the characters look nice as well, much better animations than before. All of this at 1080p is also a major achievement for the hardware. great job all together!

Off topic a little, i hope we can also get some direct feed on Scalebound, another nice title!

Bye, bye Uncharted.....This looks incredible. I can't wait. Really enjoyed the last one and this one is looking way better. Haters are going to hate, especially if they are Sony and Uncharted fans. This was the direction I was hoping Uncharted would go. We'll see what they do differently with this next game. In the meantime, Lara has my full attention. Day one biggest no-brainer

Well, *breath* that looked *breath* great (breath).

I think they should just *breath* do away with the *breath* clues in the *breath* tomb alto*breath*gether, it kind of *breath* detracts from the *breath* puzzle *breath* solving element.

bye, bye Uncharted?

As someone who has never played an Uncharted game & loved the last Tomb Raider game, I am probably more excited for Uncharted 4. I mean this looks to be very good, but day one? meh...

Also in what direction is it that this game is going which you wanted to see Uncharted go?

The water in the noninteractive cinematic was probably not realtime but prerendered (the water only), it looked very different from the gameplay water and there are compositing artifacts between the water and the realtime geometry (noticable border). Apart from the compositing artifacts it looked great, and the realtime water not so much, imho.
All in all the graphics looked great, though, only with alot of jaggies, maybe they can manage to put in some antialiasing until release.

Heard of this small game called GTA? It sold over 50mio copies, and it is made for a simple purpose: entertainment.

The hair would have been fine if it was on PS4.

Seriously, anyone who thinks this looks less impressive than uncharted 4 needs his eyes checked! Both games look spectacular this gen.

"goes back, checks video" There's artifacts everywhere because it's gameplay "footage".

Oddly enough though the video displays "ghosting" around the edges.

ghosting usually occurs when there's a conflict of post process effects. (depth of field, post AA, and AO)

This is quite an elaborate video if pre-rendered. I wouldn't know though. only playing the game you would be able to tell. there's many types of techniques used for fluid physics. Portal 2 had fluid physics, Gears of War 2, Watch dogs, and Tomb Raider 2013 all used Tessellation for water physics.

God you're both so insecure...

How can you look at her hair in that jeep and say it looks good? Unless they were aiming for underwater physics on dry land for some reason, then i'd say they got it very wrong. Lol

And uncharted looks better. Sorry, but it does. It's doing more with physics. The animations are vastly superior, This looks like the definitive edition of the reboot. But then we're comparing a game that is not only multipatform but cross gen too. And uncharted is a single platform title from one of best developers in the industry who are behind sony's ice team.... I mean...duh.

Quantum break i'd understand as a comparison...but not this. Lol

Why does everything she touches ends up breaking, falling down, exploding, crashing, crumbling to bits etc, and then she falls. I mean, she's in a jeep at the start, and within a minute it crashes, explodes and she falls off a cliff. Jesus fucking christ! This is why I hate this so called reboot of the game. Everything has to be breakneck speed, 100mph in your face action where you have to run away from something, or climb something just in the nick of time before or after having to murder dozens of cannon fodder. All this, and I haven't even mentioned the hand holding aspect of it's design "It's a secrete passage!" says she in amazement as if she discovered something ground breaking. So secrete, it just looks like an obvious door way that someone obviously bricked up with a big gaping hole in it. Eureka! The PS1 games had you solving puzzles, and then when you stumbled on a secret area, you were given that little sound byte that played that clued you into the fact that you were onto something important. It was rewarding.

I agree with Korn about the voice acting. Her delivery of "There...was..a battle here. Armed...solders...against...religious pilgrims...da order of trinity!" It's as if the voice actress was reading her lines whilst being on her smart phone browsing her Facebook. Awful.

The game looks fairly nice in a visual sense, but when you see all those lovely intricate ruins environments, it just comes across as a complete waste to me because of the shit linear gameplay design. You're not asked to do much in them for very long.

It's just a pre-baked 2d animation constrained to a couple of polygons with transparency. It's really not all that complicated.

It's not real time dynamic fluid. It'd be a slide show if it was.

Example in Maya.

Im sure the Day 365 definitive edition will get all the praise eh? /sarcasm Lol at some of these comments bashing the game ffs.. seriously if this was releasing on PS4 first there would be 50% less bollocks aimed at it!
Tomb Raider fans who own an X1 will lap this up on release.. fk what her hair looks like.. her arse makes up for that!
Game looks great, sounds great and i cant wait to get stuck into it!

Yeah the writing and the characters are TERRIBLE, this is not her "first rodeo" to put it in terms, when are we going to get the badass Lara? Im tired of our heroine being so "expressive" with everything she does: the heaving and hawing. The only thing that carried me through the first game was the solid mechanics.

Graphically it looks great, yeah her hair looks fucked though. Remember those old PS1 rpgs like Final Fantasy 7 or 8 where the character models were real and the whole environment were a cgi fmv? Her hair was giving he vibes of that stuff...

That is exactly what I feel about this game, every Time she makes a noise I just say shut the f...k up you B... . sorry LOL ... ripping off Uncharted 3 with that stupid wall touch ( she is not even Touching the wall) and desert mission, Tomb raider used to be a good game befor they started to follow uncharted path blind folded
