The second episode of Woman vs Wild is here in a great quality thanks to the Xbox team once again. The new gameplay video of Rise of the Tomb Raider deals with the guerrilla combat options available to face the Trinity forces. Less than two weeks before the game's release.

I'm thinking of replaying Tomb Raider (2013) before Rise of the Tomb Raider comes out, I have been thinking about replaying it ever since finishing it for the 1st time 2 years ago, and there's no better opportunity to do so than 1 week before RotTR's launch, plus it will be great to start RotTR right after it.
I can hardly wait for both Rise of the Tomb Raider and Fallout 4, and I hope you guys do some livestreams of both if you guys manage to get a copy of them ahead of the release date.

The PC version might get some extra features not achievable anywhere else....not sure of that though, it's to be seen. The XB1 version features BTAO, TressFX, tessellation, async volumetric lighting + Other optimizations. Which those are the settings i'm looking to game at 60fps. The game before wasn't optimized very well at ultra settings for Nvidia Cards, it was more optimized for AMD cards with TressFX + tessellation.
The next Tomb Raider game is most likely going to be optimized again with AMD. The same with Deus Ex: MD, that game is advertised with AMD as well.
I'm still thinking.

TomsHardware usually does Ultra without TressFX, do to it's Optimization concerns.
The Nvidia chips of "now" not "then" could handle Tomb Raider 2013 a lot better. Gamersyde had to use SLI 680s to get 1080p 60fps on the Tomb Raider reboot, with ultra settings.

And even still the performance was all over the place. It's probably not going to be that bad this time around, not unless newer exclusive settings are introduced.

Rise of the tomb raider is running on a presumably enhanced version of this exact engine, so you can expect performance to be similar.

burn yourself out by playing 3 games that are similar before the new one?
or not be invested in the characters and story?
not sure what i'd do. i certainly wouldn't replay them if you had already though. that's going to burn yourself out even more since it's literally a re-tread.
and some of the biggest sony 1st party exclusive as well, eg. uncharted, horizon, gt sports
and we may hear even more news from psx in December
So, for some ps fans, they even don't care when TR will release on ps4
That's too long of a wait for the official price drop, we might be hearing about the next gen consoles then. And i'm sure it will end up there at 4k.... and if you want THAT for cheap you'll have to wait extra. You have the option of finding it pre-owned but If you're looking for a lesser wait you could just pick it up on PC.
1year late is not a big thing. If they have nice DLC planned and can include it. That will be good. With some many games coming out people choose just handful of them anyways. Some of the great games I played has come years after their actual release.

2016 is only 2 months away, in 2016 the consoles will have 3 years left in their life Cycles. in late 2018 we'll most likely hear about the next gen. Rize of Tomb Raider on ps4 "might" have some months being super cheap before we hear about the next gen. but i'm pretty sure the game will end up being on the next XB and PS with higher quality.
