THQ released this big bunch of images of Saint's Row. Some might be old, but they haven't been up here before. Looks... well, it looks great in-motion at least.
The lower, newer (I guess) shots looks sooo much better now that the game has gotten some AA. Really looking foward to this game. Who can't say they aren't looking forward to a next gen GTA that looks this good!

The game looks great though. I saw a video presentation from X05 (probably posted here, don't remember) and it looked great. It was like 20 minutes long or something, but it seriously looked like it was shaping up fantastically. They are definitely pushing the envelope of customization here.
I hope in addition to customizing the look of your character, you can customize the "personality." It would suck, imo, if no matter what your character looks like, he just acts like a "thug" or a "gangsta."
Ronsauce its a "thug" and "gangsta" game via the game being named after the affiliated gang "saint's row" which you start out in....so sadly for you their will be no saddidyness feature in the game try getting grand theft auto 3....now onto other things what really gets me hype about this game is that 12 player online customized players mode i cant wait to create myself and get iced out with my own online set
I hear you Ronsauce, and I disagree with you, Philly, that just because it'sa thug/gangsta themed game the main character has to act like a jumpy cock. Def Jam had an excellent choice from a number of different voices, and I hear Amped 3 will have that too. I see no reason why a certain obnoxious attitude would have to be forced on people here.
If you don't have the choice then please make him fairly neutral.
That's a pretty minor niggle I'd have with a game that otherwise looks fantastic though. That said, I'm still cautious and worried about the story and the quality of missions.. And pretty much all of the things that made Driver 3, which was great on paper, a complete turdpile. Fingers crossed however!
some textures, specially on the cars need to be focused on next. Seems by looking at the last pics, that they dont have all those problems with a mix of high and low res textures in the characters
one more thing in the third column going down at the very bottom those garage doors look massive in fac the cars look massive when ya stand next to em and the camera angle helps that feel....finally a game with multiple hugge skyscrapers that makes me feel liek the world is bigger than me.....because gta san andreas always had me feeling i was a giant way everything was like a one story building and even the big buildings felt hallow like they jus werent big
