I do like his armor mode design though.
The journalists and attendees at Gamescom were shown a behind-closed-doors of the most recent build of Scalebound, and a lot of them reported it to be smoother than the one shown on stage. So, I imagine the smoother one was less stable than the stage demo.
Either way, not that I needed any more convincing that I am buying this game, here is the new IGN video with a few new bits in cased some of you missed it:
Hoo yeah!
Damage numbers is there for some RPGs were stats is very important and they want to let you now how much damage you are doing per attack, its highs and low.
So whenever you get a new item and you check the stats and then equip it and do attacks you can see the number of damage you are doing. Some people actually calculate this stuff as if its math, but i just go with whatever high and bonus stuff there is, dont have time to do anything else lol
Sure some games dont do this though like Souls-series and Bloodborne, but most of them do. I am guessing Scalebound is a stats-based action RPG so they show it, even Darksiders 2 had it.
Though some games does allow you to turn it off in gameplay options, so this might be the same.
this game has some of the most jarringly miss-matched art i've ever seen in a game. it's like they just threw up any old shit and called it a day. a dragon that looks like it's from the dragoon series, enemies that look like they're ripped directly from FF12, and a guy who looks like a dante rejected concept for DMC (not even the good devil may cry games) who's wearing jeans and a leather jacket. and the combat looks like pure shit. almost dynasty warriors level simplicity with one of the most far reaching sword swipes i've ever seen. and those animations!!! what are people seeing in this exactly other then "buhhhh, it's Mikami...buhhhh"
show me a good game and i'll get excited. but i don't care who's making this...it looks like shit currently.
Like watching The Matrix screen codes popping up like no tomorrow haha.
